I was looking into the SteelSeries pro wireless but I read it’s not compatible with the Xbox. I swear I’m starting to hate everything about Microsoft. I just wish playstations interface was as polished as the Xbox.

U would need to go with the wired set up or buy a cable that can fit ur controller to the wireless headset.

To me, the steelseries arctis pro are the best headset on the market.

I got these about a year ago, first headset I've ever owned besides the cheap ones that usually come with the console, so I really have nothing else to compare it to. They're pretty comfortable and sound is good enough I guess.

The main reason I got them was because the OG X1 didn't have a headphone jack on the controller, and I didn't want to buy an adapter, so this headset was made specifically for it.

The last pair of gaming headsets I used were the Corsair Voids. They were nice while they lasted. I had both the wireless version and wired version. On the wireless ones, the left ear started dieing after a few months. The cord started dieing on the wired ones.

Now I just use my Skullcandy Hesh 2 headphones. Had these things for a few years and they still going strong like new. Even wore them while working out and those babies are still pumping strong.

Not wasting anymore money on gaming headsets.

Sound: B-

Not bad but not great either. They could have did better. My old Sony Wireless PS3 gold headset sounded better so its disappointing that these are worse despite their being a 7 year gap between the two. VSS on is a must for me but its overrated at the same time. The headset app is just preset sliders and I find often the setting these devs set kinda sucks. Also the devs don't even fu*k with that app much anymore.lol. People seem to have problems with the voice chat at times in party chat where other people can't seem to hear them but luckily mine doesn't have that issue.

Durability: B+ or A depending how your looking at it.

Sony finally got rid of those hinges that plagued every Official Wireless Headset after the old PS3 Wireless headset. Its maddening that they could fu*k up that many times having the same issue before making the right adjustment(Pulse/old wireless gold/Platinum are all terribly built).

Functionality: B-

Headset has volume and then chat volume which is coo except they directly affect each other leading to me having to fine adjust with them when I play games like Battlefield. I hate that.

Comfort: A

The best thing about this headset. I can play hours without irritation on my ears. The padding is soft and for the most part doesn't get sweaty after long use. I ONLY buy over the ear headphones(prefer wireless too). I absolutely hate both on ear and ear buds

Overall: I wouldn't pay more than $60-$65 for these(black version, I have the 500 Million Limited Edition Gold which I paid $80 when they first came out. I got a deal for them if you can call it that.lol. They were $120+ going for back then). Even then you can find better headsets in terms of sound in that price range and cheaper.

This is a very good headset for gaming. Super comfortable and lightweight i barely even notice I got them on and i've never had issues with the wireless audio breaking like I did on my Corsair and Logitech wireless headsets also seems to hold a charge longer than those headsets but I've only had it a couple months.

Obviously Astros are the best but if you aren't trying to drop that much. HyperX Cloud Alpha. $100. Works on PC, PS4, and X1. You can pull the mic out to use as a headset at computer. Really good for background noise and static. People with Turtle Beaches are the worst. Those things pick up every sound in your house.
