These cars are sports car k!llers with 4 doors and a hatch, although I'm holding out on buying an RS7 with the announcement/ unveiling of the new A7 chassis due fall this year

If you like steering feel do not buy this car. I test drove one and it felt extremely synthetic. It's extremely fast and handles well but if you like to drive your car on twisty back corners it's definitely the wrong cat for you.

The car was designed to be a luxury autobahn weapon capable of year round performance. Would function as my daily driver, I've got a few toys for all the fun stuff.

*Edit* I'm a biased multiple Audi owner, quattro is a must have for the winters here..

I agree with you. I'm not saying it's a bad car. It's an amazing car and it's s3xy as hell. Personally I wish Audi bought the RS6 Avant over. If they did I'd buy that car in an instant.

likely due to the standardization of the steering column which is fully electric on most new cars

So I do believe that there could be some level of adjustment (at the factory) that can address the steering process to be more 'natural'

Most definitely. Even reviewers say thr 991 911 lost the steering feel they're so famous for since they switched to its electric system. Yes it damps out vibrations and makes things easier to control but it also removes a lot of that feeling. It's a good thing the GT3 stuck with the hydraulic system.

1.) no
2.) no
3.) why spend that amount of money on something you can't drive all year round? Also, repair costs at this point would be comparable

You said you wouldn't spend 130 on an Audi RS7, and I'm responding that what you WOULD spend that 130 on isn't either a sound investment in comparison, OR realistic. A diablo from 95 on Dupont is being listed for 179, outside of that they're asking a quarter for the next lowest and then all the way up to half a million. that 179k one has 15000 miles on it too, which aint a good look.

Again, critique but offer nothing. My list wasn’t for you it was for me. a.ssuming I’d throw 130 at any car what’s another 20k? But no car is a sound investment, it would be pure fun and exhilaration.

not entirely sure what I should be offering, as you said the list was for you so all I can offer in a thread about an rs7 is information or opinion about the subject vehicle. You stated you wouldn't spend 130 on a car and then listed IMO cars not up to the level of luxury AND performance of the subject car and then also went on to list a car that was unrealistic for that price point.

that being said, the rs7 starts at 113k for 560 horsepower. uncertain as to what the price goes up to, but presumably its up to 130 for the highest specs which provide 605 hp. both of these metrics coupled with the luxury and comfort really provide a second to none experience in these price ranges. since you seem to know about cars, obviously you know hp in the 600 range costs MUCH more when your car has Italian badging on it.

So why not an R8 which is 135k? And the BMW Alpina B7 is already at 600hp and 590 lbs torque vs 516lbs on the RS7. All and all B7 does 0-60 in 3.6 while the Audi is 3.9 but hey those are just numbers. I won’t even enter the luxury part but you obv. over looked the BMW. If beemers ain’t your thing cool day that but don’t negate the fact it’s a better car at an equal price point.
