2017 Infiniti Q60 3.0 Premium Thoughts?

I apologize for the long post. But I would like some feedback/input.

I've ALWAYS wanted an Audi 5 series coupe and a few years back I got a new job making almost double what I made before. At the time, I was driving a 2009 Nissan Altima Coupe 2.5 that I bought used for about $17,500 (still driving it and it is paid off now).

A couple of years ago, I went to the Audi dealership excited about finally getting the car of my dreams. There was a black on black Audi A5 and it was like $45,000 which was a little bit uncomfortably expensive but this was my dream car so f*ck it. I test drove it and I was EXTREMELY disappointed. For $45,000 I was expecting a performance BEAST but it felt slower than my Altima. I didn't really look at the specs because I have never REALLY been a car engine guy and don't know much about torque and all that. I just know that more HP/less weight = fast car. I also a.ssumed that the more expensive the car and better brands just had faster cars LOL.

So anyways, the salesman told me that what I was probably looking for was an S5. The sticker price on that was like $58,000 and I wasn't spending no damn $60k on a car. FAST FORWARD to about a month ago (I am 29 right now about to turn 30 this weekend), I had the itch again to get the Audi, so I did my Googles and saw how damn ugly all the new Audi models are. The A5/S5 looks like a damn Ford Fusion! And all the dealerships around me don't have 2016/2017 models. BUT THEN I WAS DRIVING AND SAW AN INFINITI Q60 AND DAMNIT MAN THAT THING IS s3xY.

I went to the dealership and test drove the 3.0L Premium joint ($48,000) and it is so damn fun to drive. The acceleration is dope, handling is dope, design is incredible. Infiniti finally got rid of that old school a.ss analog clock in the interior. After the test drive, they get a quote for the trade in value and then give me the figures. If I trade in my car and lease it for 39 months with 12,000 miles per year, it will be $500 a month INCLUDING service package (tire rotation, alignment, oil changes, detailing).

The other cars I am interested in within this class is the BMW 4 series, Audi 5 series, and Mercedes C Class coupe. Like I said earlier, the new Audi's are a bit ugly to me compared to the last about 3 generations of Audi 5 coupes. The new BMW 4 series is SLIGHTLY ugly to me and on top of that I can't find one under $52,000 in my area. I typically hate Mercedes but the C Class coupe is nice. I just haven't seen a 6 cylinder for under $56,000 and I HATE that protruding display monitor that looks like an old school GPS lol.

What do y'all think about Infiniti's? I am REALLY leaning towards sucking it up (pause) and upgrading my 2009 Nissan to the 2017 Q60. It performs better than the Audi A5, looks better. ONLY THING I don't really like is that Infiniti doesn't have that "prestige" factor like the German cars.

Infinitis lease better than all the cars you mentioned. But $500 is a lot if your altima is paid off. Especially if you're putting a down payment out of your pocket as well. I would get a lease quote from another dealer w/o factoring your trade in so you can see the difference. It makes the deal a lot clearer if you keep the two transaction separate.

I would also compare what that dealer is giving you for your Altima to Carmax. They usually give more than manufacturer dealers.

From a person who has purchased a LOT of cars in their lifetime, if that Altima is paid off and working fine, hold off. If its giving you problems and you got to get a new car, go with the Merc.

They are giving me $2,500 for the Altima. Said they could do $3,000.

The problem with my Altima is that I bought it on a whim and didn't ask for a CarFax so about a year after I bought it, someone did a hit and run on my car and I found out that it had been in an accident prior where the airbag had been deployed so the value was WAY down.

Then about a year and a half ago, I was involved in ANOTHER hit and run that was pretty bad (damages were like $8,750). So it has been in three bad accidents. It has 134,000 miles so they can't sell it at the dealership. He said they can just send it to the yard for parts.

Car is working absolutely fine. I got new tires last January and I got new brakes this past January. Also got it serviced in January.

I am really just itching to get a new car because I save an isht ton of money and I am realizing that it's getting silly at this point to live as frugal as I do without treating myself to the things that I want.

This will be in the 100 to 120 range I believe. Supposed to be the most expensive Lex in the lineup. The thing is a work of art I must admit and from the few reviews I've seen it's a special car and worth every penny.

On a dyno that's probably around 255-270 to the wheels that would be kinda hard to get past that if it is N/A without spending lots of cash. Personally I would go for the 435 cuz it's turbo and I know it's a tune and an intake away from a lil under 400whp just saying

I was looking at a Infiniti fx37 this past weekend. For what it's worth, the rep said the Infiniti coupe and the Mercedes are the same car.

Engine is infinit/Nissan, transmission is daimler/chrysler/Mercedes. Same frame, same body, just different badges.
