New leak shows the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ side by side

A new leaked photo shows the S8 duo chilling together - the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ side by side. You can see the difference in size and they appear different colors too.

The top bezel is both thin and very busy - just look at all those sensors. Part of that is likely the facial recognition hardware next to the usual selfie cam, earpiece and sensors. In contrast, the bottom bezel is perfectly clean, the traditional hardware buttons replaced by virtual ones

The on-screen buttons have an unusual design and will reportedly be customizeable. The fingerprint also had to find a new home, it now lives on the back.

Sensors won't be as noticeable on a darker color. S6 is acting up so I'm ready for this

Word on the streets of silicon valley are that thE S8 duo were suppose to have the under the glass fingerprint scanner but were having serious issues getting the technology ready for the release so they placed it awkwardly pm the back last minute.. I know the note 7 scandal really hurt these guys but take your time Sammy prefect your technology and deliver this technology alongside 8 gigs of ram for the note 8 and I just might give up the new Sony Xperia premium phone ambition.

I touched on this a month ago.



Synaptics won't have the under-the-display fingerprint scanner ready for mass production until Q2 of this year. That time frame was way too late for the S8 release.

Fingerprint reader on the back isn't awkward. It works really well on my Nexus 6P and I'm glad it's something they kept on the pixel.

So the s8+ is a lesser note?

Wait until you see where on the back they placed it..I have held the nexus 6P and pixel. They do fit nicely but when your scanner is built into your camera unit I honestly don't think my hand is big enough to reach that far..it will be positioned upper left.

Didn't know that. I guess I'll have to go to the store and check it out. I was planning on getting it for my wife on day one.

Anyone who has or had a Note 7 should get the one with an s-pen for free or a discounted price.
