We Did It BX! White House BARRED Kellyanne Conway From TV For Struggle
Kellyanne Conway barred from TV
Presidential adviser Kellyanne Conway, arguably the most visible spokesperson in President Donald Trump’s administration, has not graced the world’s television screens since early last week.
After repeatedly making on-air statements contradicting the Trump administration’s official stance, the White House barred the Republican President’s high-profile counselor from appearing in television interviews, a source told CNN.
Conway, in a Feb. 13 appearance, claimed former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn had Trump’s “full confidence” amid rumors that he misled officials regarding his communications with a Russian ambassador.
Flynn resigned a few hours later.
The following day, Conway said Flynn had offered to resign while White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said the President asked the former general for his resignation.
The last time Kellyanne Conway appeared in a television interview, she contradicted a statement made by Press Secretary Sean Spicer.
In the wake of these comments, MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” announced it would no longer interview the presidential aide because she lacked credibility.
Conway has made no shortage of questionable statements on-air — including her impromptu commercial for Ivanka Trump’s clothing line and outspoken embrace of “alternative facts.”
Conway was “off message,” the source said, adding the scrutiny surrounding Conway led Trump and his team to decide her appearances were proving to be more detrimental than anything else.
Conway told CNN that the premise of their report was false and that she was scheduled to appear on Fox News Wednesday night.
“I’ve been invited to shows every day, including two Sunday shows. I’m trying to focus on other pieces of my portfolio,” she said, noting Trump was his own best “communicator and connector.”
In fact, she said, Trump doesn’t need her to make the rounds on television because “none of us do it like he does.”
White House spokesperson Sarah Sanders similarly disputed claims that Conway had been benched.
Still though, CNN’s White House sources claimed the administration has seen fewer controversies amid Conway’s absence.
Kellyanne Conway has spent her time as Trump's right hand repeatedly defending his actions on-air and in print.
“Clearly they’re having a much more drama-free week,” the source said.
“Having Kellyanne off television is helping them.”
Nevertheless, Conway’s disappearance from the small screen is probably temporary.
“They’re letting the heat cool off,” the source said.
