Yeah they figure if you you leave your car on unattended and somebody steals it its your fault and your liable for what damages the theft causes with you car..I feel the cop was alil excessive with the ticket cause the car was at the guys driveway but
![]() And also auto experts say 30 seconds is enough time to warm up your car in winter.

Is crime slow out there right now or something? You have to have too much time on your hands to catch this.

where u live? michigan winters are brutal. most definitely want their cabin to be warm before u start driving. it can take a good 15 minutes if u have an older car

there are variables to what he said, lots of em... if u got a newer car u are good to go after a very short warmup... u got an older car and if it has certain issues then u are best off letting it warm up all the way or close to it like, if u have a transmission solenoid going out u prolly want to heat it ur car good at first to prevent any rough shifting for a sec.... just different variables like i was saying... im no expert but this is just lifelong experience dealing with cars in cold climates, im from Alaska

You're not excused from the law just because you're on your own property. Granted, a ticket for this is pretty stupid.
