Samsung has been making moves major moves in the acquisitions department lately. Snatching the company that created Siri, buying an RCS company to help step their texting game up, partnering with Microsoft for a Visual Studio tool for Tizen and giving away $1 million a month to Tizen app developers.
This seems like a setup for Samsung to move away from Android and onto their own OS. The consensus on Tizen is that it is very smooth, has stellar battery life and can run Android apps natively. Another bonus of Samsung using Tizen would be timely updates, since they'd be in complete control of the ecosystem.
That being said, would you buy a Galaxy S or Note that had all the cutting edge features and hardware that Galaxies are known for but ran Tizen instead of Android?
