Can't really say she's wrong. CNN is really trying to push this tape too much it's becoming cringe worthy just to watch it.

...Pretty much. This is the same sh!t Don Imus tried to pull following criticism of his 'Nappy Headed Hoes' quip (and which Oprah and a list of coons both in and out of the Mainstream rap Industry piggybacked on). Not to mention Paul Mooney called it all the way back in 1993:

None of these rappers are running for president either, nor would I vote for one. That's why I'm not even voting. If you have to vote for the lesser of two evils your still voting for evil. Idk how this whole thing turned into a tv drama. You know what, nevermind fu*k it I'ma just #VoteForKanye 2020.

The thing is, is that I don't expect most rappers above 35 years old to say the sh*t that Donald Trump said. There's a reason why there's an age requirement for office.

If you look at the landscape of hip hop today, you have more rappers with wholesome values closer to the forefront who are taken more seriously (please stfu if you think Young Thug is taken more seriously than a Big K.R.I.T.). Chance the Rapper, Mick Jenkins, Kendrick, J Cole, etc.

In addition to the surprising maturity of thoughts you'd get out of these artists when you listen to them when compared to a 70 year old man who is running for office. They often use the words "bi*ch", or any prerogative in a creative space.

You don't or shouldn't condemn 2pac for making the song "Wonder Why They Call You Bi*ch" because of the profanity. When the point of the art is to make you think about the word. Hip Hop and Rap struggle with a that dichotomy for decades. It's not that ALL of the music and ALL of the artist embraces this misogyny. The misogyny, outrageous lyrics and antics and stupidity makes the money. Therefore gets the most attention and visa versa. Some of these rappers are obnoxious in the booth, but are more mild mannered outside of it. This is documented.

Donald Trump wasn't monetarily bound to say what he said or to be provocative. He's a real estate investor. Not the Game trying to selling an album.

These people aren't running for office either.
