All Time Classic Movies Thread

image

So I just watched Apocalypse Now for the first time ever last night image

I'm ashamed it took me so long to take in this CLASSIC movie.

I have to say, it might bump Blade Runner as my favorite movie of all time image

Here's a few of my favorites in no particular order...

Raging Bull (Pesci and Deniro k*ll it!)
Scarface
Taxi Driver ("You talkin' to me?) image
Blade Runner
Donnie Darko
The Godfather joints
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Menace (and a few other hood movies)

Too many to list here.

Name some of your classic joints or flicks you recommend. Every one loves to be put on to some sh*t they never seen yet.

OP you think Deckard was a Replicant or nah?

Anyways, here's a movie I caught back up with a few weeks ago (saw it around the time it came out). It's not a classic but it's got a good cast (James Marsden, Amy Smart, Ron Livingston and Christine Taylor) and it's decent for a low budget 90's horror flick:

I read the original book by Philip K d*ck "Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep" and Deckard definitely wasn't a replicant but that would be an interesting concept if he was this whole time

Good look for that post. Something to watch tonight.

Agree with almost everything here except, I only saw every episode of the first season of The Wire and only caught episodes of The Sopranos here and there. I've got catching up to do with those...

The Shawshank Redemption.

I honestly think it's the only movie I've ever given 10/10. It's perfect to me.

But to add some more:

Se7en
Goodfellas
The Dark Knight
Coming to America
Inception
Back to the Future part 1
f*ght Club

Ok, ok....

Lot of flicks I haven't seen yet in this post. I have some catching up to do.

Any one stand out amongst the rest to start at?

I've seen Malcolm X, The Color Purple and Heat but none of the rest.
