I feel like #3 is probably the most important.

keeping other people who are positive minded around you makes a world of a difference. it makes you want to constantly improve yourself and you begin to grow. keeping negative company is such a detriment its not even funny. i have a few friends that fall into the latter that I hardly talk to anymore. our lives have pretty much diverged. I'm all about positivity. if you want to do something positive and productive I will always encourage it and help out where. I just can't tolerate negativity anymore.

4. Being selfish and egotistical.

A life filled with loving deeds and good character is the best tombstone. Those who you inspired and shared your love with will remember how you made them feel long after your time has expired. So carve your name on hearts, not stone. What you have done for yourself alone dies with you; what you have done for others and the world remains.

that is total bullsh*t
im trying to get mines fu*k somebody else when im gone you think that matters to me

in the words of the great gordon gekko

"Greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right, greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit"

Am I the only one who considers all of these things very obvious and almost natural to any human being that has reached adulthood? None of this is stuff you should have to be told or reminded of unless you are just dumb as sh*t and/or your parents failed at raising you.
Many people haven't developed these qualities due to poor parenting and having a rough childhood. They are less obvious than you would think.

Most places and living conditions in this world are not conducive to an overall healthy development and maturation into adulthood. It is VERY rare to find people who live by all of these principles.

I've met many people who you would consider "adults" who lack a number of these qualities.

Awesome read and a great reminder. Thank you OP.

3. Keeping negative company.

Don’t let someone who has a bad attitude give it to you. Don’t let them get to you. They can’t pull the trigger if you don’t hand them the gun. When you remember that keeping the company of negative people is a choice, instead of an obligation, you free yourself to keep the company of compassion instead of anger, generosity instead of greed, and patience instead of anxiety.
if they had a friend shop or something i would trade mine in....get a decent excuse for a human being instead
