So you blaming Adidas for creating the blue print that the owners came up with? Adidas just stamped their logo on it, the owners actually hired fashion designers who came up with this look and "color scheme". It's not like classic jerseys like the Lakers/Bulls/Celtics got ruined after Adidas. The owners are to blame.
The guy who did these was contracted by Adidas:
|The new uniforms were designed by adidas' Rodney Richardson, who focused on making the gear identify with New Orleans and Louisiana.

Most of the time, new uniforms are handled by whoever the NBA has a deal with. Which, for example, is probably why the Lakers, Pistons and Raptors jerseys look so similar (Nike era). Or why the Magic and old Bobcats ones look so similar (Adidas era). Before the Pistons were sold, they were also working with Adidas on new uniforms. At the end of the day, the owner has to approve it. But teams usually aren't going behind their partner's back. They hired Adidas for a reason.
