Ok so what are you going to do ? The CEOs owe them nothing in a capitalist society, if you don't like the wage quit. I don't mean to be harsh but thats how things are , they can protest all they want for better wages but their lack of skills grants them no leverage so they can easily be replaced. 10 -11 would be reasonable but the top dogs don't want to to take a pay cut and they shouldn't have to based on the ideals this country was built on. I might sound condescending but thats just how things work in our self interest-based and individualized society.
I feel you. And you're being honest, and realistic. But the flip side is that more people with more money equals more taxes and better overall economic growth.

And the beauty of the figures in the study in the video is that everyone, CEOs included, could get raises resulting in minimal increases in costs to the consumer. And that would be if they doubled everyone's salary. The CEOs and employees don't need all that. But an increase to $10-11 is just and fair, wouldn't result in CEOs losing their $8.75 million paycheck and those who actually consume McDonald's would see increases between $.17-.60 cents.

Remember when Fast Food jobs were for High Schoolers...
If you think your worth $15/hr, you are looking in the wrong career field..

Ask yourself why are Liberals trying to make career's out of Uneducated, Unskilled labor??

Well excluding the facts that we've lost 9 million jobs since 08, and that ObamaCare is going to force many into part time workers...
Ya'll don't think it wouldn't be because keeping permanent underclass secures votes for them would it???

$15 is too much for any unskilled laborer. But $7.50 is too little. This isn't about making a career, it's about making enough to live, eat and have shelter. Basic human needs.

The studies conducted show that CEOs can maintain and even increase there already bloated and undeserved salaries while raising the wages of their employees with only minimal increases in pricing being passed on to the consumer. We're talking pennies so that our fellow Americans can eat and have a place to sleep at night.

And who knows. With that extra money some might go bacl to school or use it in others ways to better their position in life. Or at the very least put some of it back into economy.

Today we're asking the everyday workers of these fast food chains to accept the least amount their employers can legally give them. But no one questions why a CEO makes or needs $8.75 million to survive. Or why that same CEO isn't willing to give just a little more in wages so that his employees can earning a living wage.

Tomorrow it could be skilled labor under attack. Their CEOs might ask them to have wages stagnate for several years, while they reap the benefits of their labor.

It's about greed. And being greedy isn't the American way. This has nothing to do with liberal or conservative ideologies.

No... he's just stating the obvious.

I understood it as....

"How do you expect to make more money handling someone's fries than handling their finance transactions?"

This... they'll settle somewhere significantly lower than the 15... however, with todays unemployment rates and trends, I wouldn't be surprised if the employer stands by the state provided law; minimum wage.

I can't complain about a CEO's salary. It's their company, they run things, and make the rules so long as they're abiding by the laws it is what it is. There's far too many intricacies that go into it, some of which I'm sure most of us are oblivious to, to be determining what a ceo of a major corporation like that can/should pay themselves.

As far as the actual workers, something which most of us have knowledge of through first hand experiences in the past or through friends it is to my understanding they receive yearly raises. I'm sure it could be a quarter, 50 cents, a dollar, etc. I know back when I was in like 10th grade there was one kid who worked for mcdonalds, and he made more than all of us before I got on my grind. There's plenty of options on that level of work, such as going to retail, building up that customer service resume and going into something else, or waitressing, bartending, etc. There's ways to make bread out here but people aint trying to hear that. 15 dollars to work at mcdonalds is absurd.
you act like the govt doesnt pump huge amounts of taxpayers money into these corporations throughout subsidies, kick-backs and bailouts

ok so, let's say they start at min. wage..$7.25/Hr, to those saying they deserve more, what types of jobs do you think should be paid min. wage then?

That'd be a question for the govt. not really mcds. Are they protesting against mcd's or the govt. and trying to increase min. wage...

I think they should be making a stand for min. wage increase...But then idk because it could just make inflation worse...either way, idk how a family could live off of min. wage...an individual, depending on where they live, maybe...

What is crazy is, like they Mc'd's in the times square or expensive a.ss parts of NY, do they travel from a part of the city that's cheaper to live or???

Your responsibilities include finding ways to fu*k my account and changing order of charge-offs if it means additional overdraft fees can come out of it (i.e.: if we remove THIS form their account first, they'll be NSF faster, so we can hit 'em with another $35 fee). If I complain, fu*k me - just close my account and tell me to find another bank.

If I goto McDonald's, your responsibilities include giving me hot, fast, fake-ass "food", and putting up with my sh*t, even when I'm wrong.

Those things being said, you're not the factor in why they deserve a raise. Look at what they're getting vs cost of living. Then look at how much the company makes vs how much it pays to its workers. THEN watch that video or read the report on how it would only raise the price of your food by 17 cents to 68 cents, while vastly increasing the quality of life of the workforce (and therefore the quality of your food, since they'll be far less likely to rub their balls on your order).

So you're worth more than a McDonald's worker because.... you wear a tie?

fu*k everybody who I think I'm better than, because their lives being better doesn't affect my life, but threatens how much better my life might look when compared to theirs...
