The last paragraph basically sum it. Given Jennings track record, don't be shocked when Jennings shoots you out of games.
I feel like the pistons tried to take the easy way out instead of developing knight you buy an older guard with disgusting habits. Just to save Dumars job. He might be better but how much better is he when he's shooting 30% in round 1. I can't believe n*ggas really think mo and billups gonna stop Jennings being Jennings overnight.
The problem for the Pistons stemmed from Ben Gordon.
Detroit trades him and partial rights to the 2014-15-16 first rounder to Charlotte in order to absorb his terrible contract.
If Detroit falls within the top 8 lottery teams next season, they keep the pick and Charlotte gets the 2015, and so on.
So there's a lot a pressure for the Pistons to make the playoffs and have that first rounder be as low as fu*kin possible for the Hornets. Because if not, both trades will face extreme amounts of scrutiny. However it's not all Dumars' fault. Tom Gores didn't want to amnesty Gordon.
That said, who knows? Dumars still may have pulled the trigger on this trade. Jennings is a steal for that money. Smith is a steal for that money. I just hope the team is much more than the sum of their parts.
