i understand what they are saying but is p.e still making hip hop records like its 92 though?
Do they have to be though? I mean shouldn't they as forefathers in something like this be able to back away, pass the torch, and still be able to comment on it?

Hell 40 years from now when your a.ss ain't doin covers no more and your grandson is whippin up 4D covers....you know damn well you gone have something to say if he on some bullsh*t with the art. Simple as that

I agree with them as far as the comments on the whole 'You aint got as much money as I do" sh*t....I felt like that whole "luxury rap" period n*ggas was going through over the past 2 years was just an excuse for not having sh*t to talk about.

Well you know in a way Pac has evolved into a professor or teacher...I mean his life, beliefs, and overall philosophy is being taught at universities now. I have said on here plenty of times over the past 9 years that i've been on boxden that...I always thought Pac would serve better as a black leader/teacher/speaker.....His music was good, I own damn near everything he put out...but his message far outweighs his musical talent...a lot of Pac fans won't admit that...and they want you to think he was this great rapper skill wise...but he wasn't....but the mans message is worth teaching.

I mean turn on CNN and play this song

You'd hard pressed to find rock fans sh*tting on their peers such as The Rolling Stones or The Clash or The Who or Pink Floyd

"Chuck D is bitter", "Chuck D is old"

The older you get in rock the cooler you are, not in hip hop though, its the opposite.

Mick Jagger can say whatever he wants about the latest rock stars and everyone will agree, you wont get "Mick is a hater"

True. But yo howcome I seey ou defending and suckin off Cam in every thread involving him.....didn't he spend 2005-2009 criticizing 'old rappers' and such?

But yeah its disgusting how in rap/hiphop the moment you get to a certain age everyone thinks youre corny/washed up/blah blah blah....we don't celebrate our heroes like these other genres...sh*t the Vh1 Hip hop honors used to get clowned and booed but the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is respected worldwide. Average 18 year old Rock fan feels like the Stones are gods....average 18 year old rap fan either doesn't know Kool G Rap exists or they got nothing but negative sh*t to say about him.

Jay Z has the most shallow and weak content in the history of hip hop music

he is the father of hip pop

the fact that jay d!ckriders bring up his money know matter what the subject is proves him right
