kaep excells because of his team alot... if dude played in carolina, with no running backs, only one wr... terrible defense... dude wouldnt snif the playoffs..

it works well in SF b/c kaep has good wrs.. a great TE, and a beast in frank gore... his defense is top 3 in the league...

kaep is nice... dont get me wrong but cam on a good team would prolly go to a superbowl now
Yet Kaepernick's SuperBowl appearance and 10 games played in the league is greater than Cam's 2 seasons playing in a division that doesn't play defense.

Like I said... All you got is if Kaep this and if Cam that. Kaep played big under the big lights of the playoffs, Cam QB'd all 16 games twice and couldn't reach .500. Luck had a 2-14 team, RG3's Redskins weren't all that good the year before and they did what Cam hasn't yet done. Win.

So let me get this straight, Cam's the pick because of his potential to win even though he hasn't

Winning > Potential

2nd round pick noone wanted, and still being doubted. Chip on his shoulder should keep him hungry

Kaep has a SuperBowl team because HE took them there as the QB.

Luck led a 2-11 team to the playoffs, it can be done... What exactly has Cam done that makes him that much better than Kaep? 1st overall pick and all the hype and he's not even a .500 record QB.

I'm not really out to sh*t on Cam but people like to knock on Kaep for things that neither QB has control over. Kaep played good enough to be MVP of those playoff games to get to the SuperBowl and he damn near brought the trophy home with that near comeback.

Cam played more games, I give him that... Does his division even play defense?
Because he took them there? So was Alex Smith a top 3 qb in the nfc since he took them to the nfc championship game and kyle bungled the game away???

Same argument can be made for Brady since that 2001-2005 defense got him there

...and Vinatieri copped him 2 rings.

When in doubt, change the argument. We had a pro bowl qb veteran qb that won the afc 6 or so years prior, and despite that we were losing games fast before tom came in. Quite the opposite situation.

The teams they play for right now, doesn't even apply to the question . Kaep also needs to play a full season anyway.

All the people saying Kaep's situation shouldn't matter:

2012

Alex Smith 104 QB rating
Kaepernick 98 QB rating

In 2011 Smith was a couple of plays from making the super bowl, in 2012 the 49ers were a play away from NOT making the Super Bowl.

So Kaepernick is really just a couple plays better than Alex Smith's bum a.ss.

Cam riders are just salty that the talk of the '11 QB class is no longer him. Biggest factor for me between Cam and Kaep on the field is maturity in the face of adversity.

Examples:

Cam vs. the Giants
Kaep vs. the Falcons

Cam was acting all sorts of a brat sulking and keeping to himself and while they're getting blown out by NYG, he scores a TD and celebrates it like they're the ones winning.

To me, while Cam has talent (nobody denies that), he's got that frontrunner mentality.

You do know you're comparing a game in week 3 to the NFC Championship right?

And? Were they preseason games? Tell me Kaep's demeanor in week 16 vs. Seattle. Was he sulking on the sidelines like a brat? Was he celebrating TDs in garbage time like it's all about him?

Please, answer that for me since you felt I was being unfair using a postseason game as an example.

Neither was Cam. He got hurt in Week 17, which looked like a brutal injury. Came back after two plays off, and lead his team to the victory. Guess everybody forgets that though right . You're comparing once again, an a.ss raping of bibical proportions........to a game the 9ers were in the whole time. Not a fair comparison, lets also forget Alex Smith's sorry a.ss was leading the 9ers at that time too.

Couldn't have been that brutal coming back after 2 plays. Guess you missed my second post. I compared Cam's demeanor in the blowout loss vs. NYG and asked you to tell me Kaep's demeanor in the blowout loss vs. SEA. But nice of you to duck my a.ssessment of Cam's frontrunning a.ss.

Oh and that "Sorry a.ss" Alex Smith suffered a legit concussion and with blurry vision led the team downfield for a TD score. It didn't "look like a brutal injury," it was one.
