Why are we concerned about the years it took the music industry is dead. People not buying music anymore its been that way for the past 10 or more so don't get caught up in the numbers people.

What makes Eminem's numbers all the more ridiculous is that 40% of his discography consists of "I don't give a sh*t" albums, his last album was sub-par, and he was off the fu*king grid for half of his career; yet he's on top of the world. That's not damn fair.
real sh*t... dude made a crazy come back... disappeared for 5 years not doing sh*t and all of a sudden wakes up one day and says "im taking over the rap game again"

to the dudes that say he only sells this much cuz hes white is kinda true. but remember he didnt blow up until his mid to late twenties because he's white. nobody was giving him a chance. i think he was 25 or 26 when he dropped slim shady lp

Pac may be the only person in music history period to sell over 40 million records off only a 4-5 year career , and that's just domestic sales.

Not really. It happened the first time I bought Violent By Design, the initial pressing that only came out in the north east, I bought it the first week of Nov. of 2000, a day or two after Jigga's album dropped. I took a peak at the receipt after checking out and the sh*t had rang up as Jay-Z Dynasty. I asked my buddy who checked me out what the fu*k was up and he told me they did this all the time. This was years before JMT were on a real label and were self-publishing so I'm guessing they figured no one would notice a little regional indie group getting fu*ked out of sales. So no, this isn't hate cuz I'm a Jay-z fan, and this isn't 'I heard from blah blah blah from unnamed person you don't know'. This is first hand evidence of falsified numbers and major labels fu*king indie cats out of money. Believe what you wanna believe, but if Jay could strong arm them into giving him a million extra sales in plain view for all to see, what kinda sh*t do you think hes doing on the down low? The record industry is sleazier than the pr0n biz.

Nelly is the most impressive.
Jay, Pac, and Em each are considered by some as the GOAT. Which basically means people will continue to by their records and even collect their records. NO ONE thinks Nelly is the GOAT. During that short 2-3 album span Nelly put up crazy numbers! To be honest I don't think there was a time where he was considered the best out or had crazy features at one time.

This is like an Emmitt Smith vs. Barry Sanders argument. Of course the guy who had twice as long of a career is going to put up better cumulative stats. But it doesn't mean he's better. Jay right now is like Emmitt on the Arizona Cardinals.

IMO Tupac's mom released his work too soon posthumously

She should have sat on them longer and added better production.
