Real talk tho, they need to reconstruct Charlamagne's contract before he leaves them.

Good conversation, wouldn't call it an interview since they seem to be friends so it was all pretty safe however still covered a good range and Jay opened up in a few spots. it is a pity that he can't always convey the humility he actually has in his music.

Top notch sh*t no bull. Good to hear him talk real sh*t like 1 on 1 that's rare for him.

His views on rap 10 yrs + ago compared to now, collabos, regional rap and the different eras, etc

How it used to be about riding with an album for 2-3 months "soundtrack to your life" now it's 1 week at most really speaks volumes. We already know that but it's good to hear it from a master of the craft.

Listened to the first half at work, but it was hard walking around listening on my phone looking like I was actually talking. Good look for the post. SN: Why n*ggas soooooooo happy about NY not holding the top spot anymore. If anything that has allowed the music to go in the direction it is now. No respect for lyrics & lyricists anymore. Even Jay got at that point talking about how it's a hustle now. Hip hop NEEDS NY, just like NY NEEDS hip hop.

Charlamagne saved this interview, he asked real hip hop questions that were interesting,

Envy always asked dumb and irrelevant questions but its funny to see the artist reactions
This. "So what's Jay like as a dad?" The fu*k you ask that for envy??
I don't know why n*ggas hate on charlamange he makes the breakfast cub interviews worth watching, asks the best questions, and for the most part says what he thinks, or trolls whoever shows up

One of the best jay z interviews I've ever watched. Never seen him so open on a radio interview. Wish he would have asked about the song cry 2 and unreleased music
Missed opportunity there

No it doesn't. Jay himself don't need NY and he was born there :jayhah2:

If you're talking about no respect for lyricists anymore P. DIDDY was on of the main people who started the sh*t as Jay-Z said. Granted Jay wasn't directly blaming him but once people saw that you didn't have to be a rapper to push albums (like Diddy) and saw you could hustle your way into millions the floodgates opened. NY caused it's own demise with the hate and hypocrisy by dissing other regions then swagger jacking their styes. DEAL WITH IT

Jay basically like "I'm still winning so I can't agree with you ny losers
Jay put his own state in a bodybag
