I agree that overtraining is overrated these days...but this is the type of workout you do if you're lifting each bodypart once a week.

MOST people do not go this intense. That's one reason a lot of people should be lifting twice a week in my opinion. With a normal 3-4 sets of BB flat bench, Incline, Decline, and Fly routine that 90% of people do, they need to lift twice a week because recovery will not take a full week as long as nutrition is good. But it all depends on whether you're cutting or bulking because the amount of calories you intake play a part in recovery.

I made a mistake of doing 6 days on, 1 off, while cutting so I strained my chest about a month ago. Really pissed me off and I'm still trying to get that resolved. Instead of doing 7 days straight, I'm now doing 3 days 1 day on which gives me an extra day to recover.

as much as i love to agree with them...over training can give u some pretty annoying injuries... i tore my rotator cuff from doin muscle-ups and got costochondritis from too many weighted dips.... i couldnt do upper body workouts for months. real talk do what ur body can handle and get enough rest even sometimes it feels like u dont need it but do it anyways
