No conflict or trolling at all homie overall good list
But a few questions

Why is the Oscar Robinson behind bob cousy and garnett

Dwight howard over mutumbo
And mutumbo over Elgin Baylor?

CP3 over D wade?

No trolling but to me it seems like prime examples of where the eye test will undermine analytics
Let's start with why you believe Oscar Robertson should be ranked above Cousy and Garnett? All three players are very accomplished. The explains why.

In short, both Cousy and Garnett have more honors and awards. Robertson would be ranked above them both if this list was based on pure statistical dominance. I'm sure no one would agree with such a list if it were to be created. LeBron James would be top 3, for example.

In regards to Chris Paul and D-Wade?

I'll break this one down.

Chris Paul

Statistical Performance

555 GP - 0 points
24% WS48 - 25 points

Awards and Honors

6x All-Star - 30 points
ROY - 10 points
3x 1st Team - 24 points
1x 2nd Team - 4 points
1x 3rd Team - 2 points
3x D 1st Team - 18 points
2x D 2nd Team - 6 points

7 Stat titles (5x SPG, 2x APG) - 35 points

Total - 154 points

Wade on the same scale?

665 GP - 0 points
19% WS48 - 15 points

9x All-Star - 45 points
3x Champion - 21 points
2x 1st Team - 16 points
3x 2nd Team - 12 points
3x 3rd Team - 3 points
3x D 2nd Team - 9 points

1 stat title - 5 points

Total - 144 points

The gap isn't large, but Wade missed a lot of games due to injury. That hurt his standing, just like a lot of players on the list.

:osamadead

big ups to you making a list tho
Thanks btw.

Dennis Rodman has more rings than those guys combined. Not saying that's the only deciding factor, but I think all the makeup and stuff isn't helping his legacy.

Dude, you need to put the criteria in the op. Even though you clearly listed a link, people in this part of the forum are entirely too retarded to actually read it. It's like people missed the entire point of the list: An objective list that uses actual accomplishments and awards, and not personnel opinions.

I'll do it, but the last time I made the list, few people read it anyway.

As soon as they see the snub, they're posting no matter what.

Wade behind CP3 and AI Lil

I understand your criteria but its flawed

We gonna act like lebron hasnt put wade win share on the downward trend. Not even gonna bring up the snubs on the 1st teams he received and that MVP he should've grabbed in 08 but carry on

My personal opinion?

Wade has been snubbed by Kobe numerous times in regards to 1st team honors. MVP is debatable. He finished 3rd behind Kobe Bryant and LeBron James in the 08-09 season.

It's media opinion, but the biggest hit to his score is the fact that he's missed so many games. He should be at 750+ games played right now for 15 points. That alone would propel him above both Paul and Iverson.

Also his WS48 has increased since LeBron joined the Heat. He owned a average of 17% prior to LeBron. Now it's 19%. I'm sure he'll finish above 20% at this rate.

Also, who's to say what the injuries did to his placement on the All-NBA teams?

Statistically speaking, Wade destroys most of these guys. He's top 15 in that respect.

Wade has potential to leapfrog a lot of names depending on how long he plays.

Kevin Durant and Derrick Rose's careers are too short. There's only 17 active players on the list, and most of them are on the verge of retiring with the exception of Paul, LeBron, Wade, and Stoudemire.

Kevin Johnson is a better player than Horry, but does not have a greater career. Horry's amount of games and championships place him over Johnson 2 times.

Shawn Kemp would have made the list, but his production dropped in his later years, bringing his W48 down. He's in the top 110-115, sure.

Tim Hardaway is even worse. His production declines in a shorter span of games than Kemp, with fewer honors.

Either their career is too short or they didn't win anything. It's usually one or the other.

The list isn't based on stats alone. It's largely based on actual on court performance though (WS48 being a huge factor for the top players). Though the players do receive points for opinion based awards such as All-Team honors, All-Star votes and so on.

The playoffs is a huge indicator of how "clutch" a player is. Some players have a huge performance drop-off in the post-season. Dominique Wilkins would be the best example I can think of. I believe the awards and honors sort out the list pretty well.

As far as Chuck and Reggie goes... Miller is as one-dimensional as they come. Charles didn't have the hardware. That's where most players like him end up. Top 30-40. They were either victims of the Lakers, Bulls, Celtics or they suffered from a short career.
WS48 is still a stat. I agree with the playoffs being a good clutch indicator, but the awards and honors don't really sort it out when you have teams like the Lakers, Celtics, and Bulls thwarting people's chances of winning a title.

Like I said though, nice effort. Chuck is easily top 25 though

Dwight Howard has benefited playing in an era where the average big man might as well be a 6'10 pile of sh*t on the court. If Dwight played in the 90's, he would have been maybe the 8th or 9th best big man.
