Lebron almost top ten and he literally just started the prime of his career within these past couple years

Watch out MJ
He has a legit chance of finishing 3rd, but I doubt he'll pass Kareem. The gap between him, MJ and everyone else is almost a gulf.

Your point system is unfair to Russell. All defense teams didn't debut until his final season, DPOY until after he retired, and Finals MVP until his last season.
Fair argument. I could just come up with a category that says "award named after you" worth about 100 points. Good enough?

i saw the link but why is ROY worth as much as MVP lmao, come on now

also bill russell didn't win any finals mvps because there wasn't a finals mvp award back then. blocks werent a stat until 74. how do you take that into account? come on mang
The best is the best imo. That's what ROY and MVP represents.

DPOY was originally ranked the same, but it's just one side of the ball in contrast to the other awards.

Also, I'm fully aware of your Bill Russell argument. I'm just waiting to see if Bill Simmons can hit me up with a solution.

Statistically, Dantly wins. Achievements, Dantly wins.

And it's not even close.
Dantley was a ball hog, and the season after they traded him they went on to win back to back titles. Pistol was a much more craftier offensive threat and played with more heart.

Finals MVP should be worth a lot more, it's the most important award and its only worth 5 more points than rookie of the year....

Actually I want to know you a.ssigned points to awards, was it random or...?

Also you have Dwight at 29th best player of all time
Can you name 30 players that are more accomplished than Dwight Howard (that I haven't already listed)?

Also, I'm not going to give a ton of weight towards awards that are opinion verus statistical fact. Many would agree that the Finals MVP award should be given to the best player of the winning team right? Also, this award wasn't even around for 3rd of the league's existence.

Win shares and games played balance out this entire list. Awards just fine tune it.

Michael Jordan was a ball hog. Clearly there isn't anything wrong with it if you're efficient with the basketball. Something Dantly clearly was and PP wasn't.

Explain what your standards are. You're just making a ton of blind statements right now.

I'm starting to wonder if you even know how accomplished Dwight Howard is. For starters, he's one of three players to win DPOY 3 times since the award was introduced 30 years ago.

His a.ssortment of rebound/block titles, along with his NBA All-Team and Defensive team selections blow most of the league out of the water. He's in rare company.

I'd love for you to explain yourself.

Yes, I do know how accomplished Howard is. You put him ahead of Allen Iverson

Allen had 4 scoring titles and an MVP. That alone is better than anything Dwight accoomplished. Dwight isn't even top 5 at his position Allen IS

You puy Mutombo ahead of Elgin Baylor

You put Dwight and Mutombo ahead of Mchale... How is Parker that low? Every top 30 player has at least an MVP

I was born in the 80's, so yeah I don't mind the claim to the 90's. That is my era.

I'm not so sure about you though. I'd a.ssume you're 18 at the most.

Thanks for the thread bump. Feel free to re-enter.
