He has a good 3-4 years left in him before he starts falling off. Those same young players they would have the opportunity of drafting would still be in their mid 20's. Blazers aren't making noise anytime soon so they might as well get some young prospects inexchange for their top player and just start building around Lillard.
He's worth a 1st & 19th to Cavs now and he'll be worth some mid to late-first round pick next year and so on. His value is only going to decline as time goes on.
