Of course the bulls fan is trying to rationalize this trade for the Wiz
Bulls fans just want a copout so they can shake up their roster without going into the tax. Course theyre gonna proclaim its good for the wiz

Now your sure Wall walks as a free agent

He didn't even want to be there in the first place. You n*ggas saying Otto Porter is a safer choice, if yall GM thinks like the Fans, Wall is gone

And nobody is going to trade you Cousins for a shot at Otto fu*kin Porter and Nerlens Noel..

He's top 10, and that's a nice return for such a weak a.ss draft.

So LeBron is old? He's the same age he's just 28. You don't get it, Wall contract is up in about what? 2 seasons? You guys don't make the playoffs HE WALKS, I'm sure of it, you even know it. What are the Wizards going to do? Keep accumilating draft picks hoping to pull a OKC and one day it all "clicks", while you're busy trying to find lightening in a bottle(something that only OKC has done out of any team in the past 10 years), seasons go by, and the players you drafted start to walk.
LeBron is 28 and arguably the most athletic player of all time with no injury problems. a 28 year old with Dengs injury history is old. secondly this is wall's final season under contract not his second to last. and I highly doubt he walks. he isn't very intelligent and judging by his instagram and twitter he seems to only care about clubbing and partying with celebs and letting his talent carry him as far as it will on the court. he will be cashing in on that 2nd contract if the Wiz even offer it to him. but seeing as they havn't yet it looks like they are going to wait until mid season to see if he truly progressed which is the smart move imo.

Beal will be the better of the 2 when it's all said and done.

as far as you not realizing how anyone the wiz draft is safer than taking on injury prone deng's contract then

You keep calling Deng old but where is the decline in his game? It's not in his numbers, you cite his age but he's played in 70+ reg season games for the past 4 seasons with only the exception of the lockout year where he played all 54. It's funny because you guys have all these claims and theories conjured up about Deng but seem to know little about the player.

The Wiz fan base seem to be so stuck on "lottery" mindset and instead of actually bringing in true lockerroom leadership that can contribute on and off the court in a positive way to help the franchise re-energize itself. It amazes me that fans of a team that hasn't seen leadership in about 6 or 7 seasons from any player, is really arguing that taking ANOTHER young player is the safe choice. Over one of the best lockerroom leaders in the NBA, that just made the all-star team the last 2 seasons. Numbers havent fallen off despite sharing the rock with players like Rose/Gordon/Salmons/Kirk/Boozer/Eddy no matter the cast around him Deng has ALWAYS been consistent. He embodies the meaning of "safe choice".

we have this mindset because we took on another injury prone overpaid former star in Nene who has been a complete bust for us. forgive us for being apprehensive about bringing in Nene 2.0. Nene, Oak & Ariza were also supposed to be locker room leaders.

How is Otto Porter a "safer" pick? How is taking an UNKOWN rookie, over a proven 2x all-star who has gotten 17/8 and steller defense, not a safe bet. But Otto Porter who is more likely to be the next CDR than even sniff the impact of Deng is a safer choice?
Everything you just said is irrelevant.

Wall is going to be signed in a few weeks, all our insiders have a.ssured he plans to sign this offseason.

We would of made the playoffs with Wall was healthy last season. We aren't the typical 3rd overall pick team, we moved up from 8 to the 3 in the lottery.

We don't need deng to put us over the top, we can make the playoffs with our current team right now. This move is about having someone at the 3 for the future.

I like how you keep ignoring the fact that deng wouldn't sign here long term. I feel more comfortable taking Otto Porter, then resigning wall than I do gambling on deng coming off an injury.

The trade isn't happening anyway so.....you can keep deng since you love him so much.

Also consider the bulls ran Deng ragged last 2 years, that shooting % keeps dropping for a reason. Course they gonna use him up and sell him high, Ariza/Webster give you more production anyways for even less than Dengs salary

Otto Porter is one of the most mature dudes in the draft and a heady player who didn't pick up a ton of bad habits by playing AAU basketball. He and Bradley Beal have been friends for a long time and are close. Wall likes the direction the team is going in after trading away the knuckleheads McGee, Blatche, and Young. The Wizards were the only team to finish top 10 in defense to not make the playoffs and that was because Wall missed the first half of the season, along with Nene and Beal having nagging injuries.

Players like Oak and Nene were brought in for lockerroom leadership and Oak was the one who got Wall to realize his behavior was rubbing teammates the wrong way, so Wall took it to heart and started ballin.

Deng is 28. The Wizards traded the 5th pick for Foye and Mike Miller and I lost it then, especially when that pick turned out to be Rubio. That pick was traded because Abe Pollin knew his years were dwindling and he wanted to win badly. Instead, the trade turned out horrible and both players bounced. So far, Leonsis has been more patient about building a team, perhaps even too patient but trading for Deng is the exact short-sighted type of move that the Wizards would have made with Pollin as owner.

Deng has come out and said he won't resign here and I don't blame him because he doesn't fit with our young core. Wall is 22, Beal is 19 (turns 20 on the 28th), Porter just turned 20, and DMC is 22. I'd let that young core grow together and see what happens.

The Bulls put this rumor out to gauge Deng's value and the Wizards squashed it. A team looking for a vet will be more than happy to make that move.
