LeBron James Vs Larry Bird After 10 Years In The League

LeBron James only has 2 championships. He hasn't reached the level of being compared to people with 5+ championships yet. Let's see how he compare with the great Larry Bird after 10 seasons

Larry Bird

3X NBA Champion
2X Finals MVP
3X MVP
9X NBA All-Star
9X All-NBA First Team

LeBron James
2X NBA Champion
2X Finals MVP
4X MVP
9X NBA All-Star
7X All-NBA First Team

Let's take a look at the regular season stats

image

Larry has the edge in FG%, 3P% TRB, & STL

LeBron has the egde in PTS & AST

Let's take a look at playoff stats

image

Pretty much the samething. LeBron does have the advantage when it comes to made up stats like PER and WS though.

So who's better after 10 years in the league. Larry or LeBron?

Been telling people the career comparisons for Lebron are closer to Larry and Magic than Jordan. I still say at this point, Larry is still GREATER than Lebron and whether Lebron is better is debatable. Keep in mind Larry retired avging 25 and 10 with comparible a.ssist numbers I believe. At this rate Lebron will probably retire averaging more points than Bird (Maybe) no where near the 10 rebounds and about the same amount of a.ssist.

Food for thought.

True. He also had to go up agains the Showtime Lakers and Hakeem the Dream to get those titles though.

Alot of people who didnt get to see him play in his day believe he was just a three point shooter. Larry did most of his damage mid range and in the post.

I just showed my youth badly right there

I always catch highlights of that LEGENDARY 3pt contest, and always believed he was an absolute sniper(in terms of taking and making plenty of 3s).

LEBRON IS ONLY 600 points away from the all time scoring list to passing Larry Bird

u serious wit hthis sh*t

food for thought. lebrons career is not over and before its said and done he wont be denied a top 3 spot. fu*k u going to save when he finished top 2 all time in scoring and top 10 in all time a.ssists with 6 league MVP's and 3-4 Finals Mvps..
Why are you so defensive

At said AT THIS POINT i cant say Lebron is greater than Bird. If you put up the averages without telling people whos who the average fan wouldnt be able to tell them apart. No doubt Lebron will finish his career as top 3, but at this point time aside from all those "ESPN stats" he still hasnt done anything Larry Legend hasnt done as far as winning and personal accolades..

Dude sent "You Lose" props like I challenged him to a SKIP/SCREAMIN A debate

He did win he 3Pt shootout 3 times but when he first came into the league he was a PF. Then they moved him to SF.

Larry Bird came into the league at age 24, Lebron came into the league at 18.

Bird was groomed for 4 years to be a complete player at ISU, and came to a stacked team.

Lebron was a fu*king 18 year old kid on a terrible team for the first 2-3 years of his career. You guys really trying to compare this dudes teenage and early 20s years to bird Prime.

And the fact that I'm the first person to point out the 6 year age difference in those 10 years just shows how stupid this section is.

n*ggas on this site are fu*king retarded
