Point Guards are the hardest to rate, because everyone has their own idea of "how the game should be played." There's no other position that determines that than the PG position. Also known as the extension of the coach on the court.

With that said, here's my true UNBIAS rankings on PG's of al time.

1. Magic Johnson- Redefined the role, made everyone better around him, numbers are out of this world.

2. Isiah Thomas(He went back and forth with Magic AND Jordan, who both rank in my top 5 regarldess of position, and won Championships going through both he has to be here)

3. Big O- I never seen him play, because history can't be ignored and his numbers speak for themselves. Triple Double in one season, and set a bar that hasn't been reach number wise since, which is why he's cemented in my top 3.)

4. Gary Payton - People might be shocked at this spot, but lets start off by saying "the only PG with a DPOY award". There was nothing GP couldn't do, defend, shoot, drive, talk sh*t, make teammates better, and give the GOAT the hardest Finals one on one matchup he's faced out of all 6 of his championships.

5. John Stockton - Racked up a sh*t load of a.ssist and steals, I still don't think he's better than GP, give the glove a prime Karl Malone(who retired the GOAT PF until Timmy came along). nevertheless, stockton was still a beast and still holds the all-time steals record if i'm not mistaken. And there aren't 5 guys better than him so he makes my top 5.

6. Jason Kidd - One of my favorite players, he was Rondo before Rondo. The first do it all but can't shoot PG, that every player would want to play with. Triple Double king, and use to be an excellent defender. Longevity bumps him up this far.

7. Walt Fraizer - Never seen him play but from what I was told he could defend and was a beast

8. Cousy - I can't ignore history, despite this n*gga not having a left hand

9. Nash- Probably top 5 offensively, but since he can't defend worth a damn, and wasn't sh*t before D'Antoni got in his life, he lucky he THIS high.

10. Paul- I'm going to put this man in my top 10, for the simple fact that he's still better than a lot of PG's past and present and the fact that his resume isn't all that bad.. This list is literred with PG's who didn't lead their team to a championship in their prime.. CP3 deserves some love, he's probably the most efficient PG of all time.

Nash over Kidd??? Are y'all serious?

I rank him in the Top 5, favorite PG of all-time (unless you count Penny as a PG, then I put Kidd 2nd).

In reality, def. Top 10.

jason kidd was a great player because he progressed hes entire career damn near. think about it, he use to have no j and became a 3 pt specialist and is in the top 3 for 3pt made (stat not completely in my head, hell he might be first) he played d, one of the best rebounding points ever, a dominant playmaker, and his pass first on offense created stars. His mentor was kevin johnson one of the best to ever do it. kidd also mentored joe johnson with kj while they were the suns big three. stockton, oscar, isiah and if you count magic as a pg then magic, and gary payton all could be argued in front of kidd. but i will say this:
gary ring chased for his ring, he wasnt an impact like kidd was in dallas.
stockton never won a ring either... and although some might argue kidd ring chased, you have to give credit to kidd for being a master at a skill that was once his downfall, and utilizing it as a specialist to help a team win games. not to mention his defense and court vision/iq that lead to people playing the heat players differently. I give coach Carlisle his coaching props, but every coach needs that one guy who is his rep on the court and makes the crucial adjustments on the court in key situations. One could argue kidd was that guy. He also help beat a team with Bosh, Bron, Wade in the finals. thats no easy task. so in essence, hall of fame and all time wise, when it comes to on the court jason kidd to ME is top 5 because he could develop other people around him while playing, and also perform/ excel in every aspect
