Face is is that my dad's NES still works while my old 360 is a huge paper weight.
Super cool story breh. Too bad it has nothing to do with what I said. You obviously don't know sh*t if you think the NES doesn't have a high failure rate. There are absolutely no f*cks given about your 360 or your Pop's NES. None.

Sure it was. The NES was a cheaply made system. The sh*t wasn't as publicized because of a lack of internet and the time need for the wear and tear on the 72-pin connector. Ya bish.

worst console of all time when it comes to reliability

I used to sit infront of my NES for hours cleaning my console and blowing the cartridges
just to get that shyt to work for about 20 minutes, and as soon as someone stomped within 15
feet of the consoles while it was on I would get the blue screen of death

thank God for the NES emulator

Exactly. You'd have to do a chant, a rain dance, commit a sacrifice and then pray the sh*t wouldn't give you the blinking blue screen when you turned it on.

You can tell which n*ggas were born in 1995, talkin about "the NES didn't have a high failure rate."

nes by far. Most of the people in this board are born in the 90's and don't remember how crappy the nes really is. Yes it revolutionize gaming as we know it and brought many classics. It also have terrible build. The launch 360 had high failure along with launch ps3 but nothing was compared to the nes.
Wrong by far. A dusty, poorly-built system (The American NES' had a design flaw which resulted in the infamous 'blinking gray screen' and having to blow in the cartridges [Or, for some, using Alcohol and Q-Tips ]) that still works doesn't compare at all to a poorly-built system that had/still has an over 50% failure rate. Dudes pulling every excuse out the book to defend the 360

The NES could be resuscitated. When my first PS2 died that sh*t never came back

Most likely it was Dreamcast. The VMUs they had burnt out the controller ports quite frequently.

man whenever i wouldn't see the "published by sega" screen on my genesis, i used to worry, but it was a soldier. it was one of the first model with the headphone jack and volume on the left. i remember when it stopped working. my mama put it in the trunk promising me that she was going to go get it fixed. it was in there for a month and i was like mama give me your keys. i got it and plugged it into the tv and saw "published by sega" a little kid had to shed a few tears

it hurt to give the system to my cousin after i got my psx and in the same say, he tripped over a chord and it stopped working.

the first psx that i had stopped working on me and when i got another one it had different connections. i was heated

my ps2 never gave me any problems and i had it since april '01 and traded it in (w/ a 360 that never rrod) for a ps3 in 08. too bad my ps3 got the yellow light a couple months ago.
