Beyond Belief Fact Fiction

Anyone else remember this show?

This is one of my favorite episodes, slightly creepy

Classic episode, I think this show is most renowned for this story

This episode was depressing

Did you know that the woman who played the Actress (Mary Frann who plays Bev Conklin) in this episode actually died shortly after filming this? It's strange to me because in the episode she died as a result of the Haunted House's "curse." There's no correlation obviously, but it's just kinda strange...

Love this episode, damn freaky.

Cool episode, wish it were based on a true story

Beautiful episode. I believe the woman was either Lucid Dreaming or Astral projecting.

Another Astral Projection episode

What in the Parallel Universe hell? Or at least that's what I'm thinking happened

Not scary, slightly creepy, but a popular episode

You know I didn't realize until now that the quality of the vids I posted was so low. Here is another uploader whose content is a lot clearer, but the titles are by episode and season not the story.

Another story that sounds like Astral projection, although an involuntary experience where one is cognizant that they temporarily left their body.

This episode was so flipping sad. why it had to end like that? :cries:

Those stories where the protagonist doesn't realize they don't belong here always gives me chills. The Actress (Michelle Hurd) in this story is so pretty I wonder why she never had much of a career.

This show should be revived, even though Robert Tralins (the Mastermind behind the show) has died. I'm sure he'd approve of a revival from the Astral Plane.

There was an open ceiling panel that the boy crawled out of. He ran away to a friends house and stayed in the attic unknown to the parents of the house. Eventually they found out he was staying in the attic, called the parents and that was it. Supposedly the kid ran away from home a bunch of times.

The show is pretty good. Reruns come on Chiller every week during the afternoon and all the episodes are on YouTube too.

I wonder how many of the "facts" are exaggerated to make good supernatural TV. Like the Summer Camp episode, I think the kid was there to help them, but those kids got lost or something on the way back, and that's how he beat them there.

The Anatole episode, I think the prisoner died in his sleep
how did you find out about that back story?

I love these premonition episodes, the one's below are my favorite. Anybody who has researched the History of the Titanic knows it's misfortune was written about 14 years before it even came into existence. Google 'Futility, or the Wreck of the Titan' by Morgan Robertson. Although, many discredit it I feel as though there are too many similarities for it to not have been foretold.

There was no videotape in the VCR; Lawl VCR so ancient. Anyway, creepy at least her friend listened and avoided what would have been an untimely end.

This last one is bittersweet, while she was saved other's died.

Back in '08 someone on IMDB contacted Writer of the show Robert Tralins to inquire about what happened in the story, but the episode had aired before the boy was found.

I personally contacted the man who collected true accounts for the show. I asked him where he got his proof for this. He responded to me with this:

The Beyond Belief: fact or fiction story about the monster in the kid’s closet was based on an actual event that I personally investigated in Florida many years ago. At the time it happened there was no explanation for the boy’s disappearance—until two weeks later when it was learned that he had climbed out of the closet through a ceiling panel and ran away from home. He stayed at a friend’s house surreptitiously until the friend’s mother discovered him hiding in the attic of their home and exposed the ruse. Unfortunately, the show producer responsible for checking out the truthfulness of each story was not informed until too late that the little boy had turned up at a friend’s house several blocks away.

Investigators who had tapped the ceiling and walls in the closet did not find the panel because the boy (age 11) had wedged two pieces of wood into place over it when he was in the crawl space above the closet.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

So there you guys go. It was a creepy story but turned out not to be true.

Wouldn't be shocked if that's how most of the true stories end up. Something weird happens that can only be explained by the supernatural, but later it's uncovered.

Anyone seen the one with the kid who was about to get jumped on the basketball court and this tall a.ss dude saves him. The next day the kid finds the guy and thanks him, but the dude said he doesn't know what he's talking about and that he was at work.

There's gotta be more to these sh*ts than they let people believe.
Here's the episode I believe your talking about.

I'll respond to the rest of your post later much too to lazy to give a thorough response now, but the 'Kid in the Closet' episode is really the only one after all the other factual stories they've aired that was later proved to be not what it seems.

I still think Beyond Belief Fact or Fiction has more credibility than an episode of Real Housewives of (Insert City Here) or something like Bad Girls Club.
