You really dont get anywhere without counting calories as a deficit or bulking. Props to myfitnesspal app and the OP!! I have been working out 5days a week lifting and cardio for 2months but significant changes happened when I started counting calories.
Nature had it right 21 apples = 2000 calories impossible to eat in a day and full as fu*ck vs 2 big mac meal = 2200 calories easy to eat and still hungry.

I agree man. They have this app with the galaxy for stuff like that also, so I been itching to try it out.

I'm just starting out. Thanks for the motivation and tips man. I'm 6'2 and 240. Definitely trying to get down to 200. Thing is...I get motivated lose the weight, hit a plateau, give up and gain it back. Been like that for years....One time I got down to 179, started eating whatever again and gained it back...

I know food was a HUGE deal behind it (lifestyle changes) and I know now I need to change my routine up....Keep it up.

Thanks man! Found your routine and push through it. Every time I wanted to give up I thought about how I wanted my body to look. I stop counting calories 2 months ago and dropped 4 pounds...... I got so used to eating when I was dieting that it changed my eating habits. I'm now focused on alot of peanut butter, so I can get back to 190. My main snack is celery with peanut butter lol. I tried something last night while running and it felt good, but wore me out lol. This might be a good routine for some of you. I ran a lap and as I finish the lap I would stop and do 15 - 25 pushups and then run another lap and repeated. I did this for 2 miles and it felt good. I guess you can sub the pushups with jumping jacks etc.

I ran 2.5 miles every day pretty much to get down the weight, but I didn't start to working out until I was 200 pounds. I lost so much weight so fast, I lost muscle mass. When I did work out I did curls with 25 pounds dumbbells and hit the bench with 90 pounds LOL i was weak.........

any reason you cut rice out your diet as well. Ive lost over 35 pounds and have gotten significantly stronger since I started 1 year back. Went from 210 ---> 175. Now im looking to get my body looking proper. I figure this is going to start in the kitchen. Was looking at starting meal prep in the new year. Or at least making a stricter dieting regimen. but yah, any reason you cut rice out? I was planning on making a cup of brown rice to eat most days for lunch, so if this is a bad look let me know!

Good work, my dude I been struggling trying to get down to to least 180 or 170. I'm 6'3 last time I checked but that was a long time ago and people tell me I look 6'5 so I could be that I lost a lot of weight overall so maybe I just got taller or appear taller because of that but anyway I weigh I think 210 but it's been hard sticking on the right track trying to lose these last 30-40 pounds. Sweets is my weakness man but starting tomorrow I decided Imma go HAM on the way I eat. Eating healthy and mastering portion control. Today I went loose though on the junk food lol because I know this is the last day I'm gonna fu*k up until tomorrow comes. You inspire me man. Seeing your pics really makes me want the same for myself. Again, congrats homie

sorry for late response, but I never cut brown rice out. I love it to much lol. I'm not a specialist, but from the people I talk to it seems like different foods work different in each person. For instance 100% whole wheat is a big part of my diet. My friends tell me stay away from it because it will take away your 6 pack etc. and I never got away from it. Til today it's still a big part of my diet.

np bro. That's the reason I decided to post it. The site help me a lot . It just took me a few years to apply all the motivation to eating right and working out.

Now to me this is critical and everyone should think about this. At first the reason I was doing this was because I told a few guys at work I'm about to tear this body down and rebuild it. So I was really only doing it just to prove to them how easy it was. After sitting down and thinking about it the real reason we should be doing this is for self and our children. I'm married with 4 beautiful children and even tho I don't smoke or drink my eating lifestyle would have put me in a early grave. You just something small as a mile a day can extend your life. A year ago I couldn't even play with my kids outside without stopping within 3 mins of running around and as you can see that is no longer a problem. I started this last week. I had trouble getting to 3 miles so I compensated with maybe 1.5, jump rope and stationary bike and then go to weights. Yesterday I jogged a full half mile before having to stop lol!!!
Im in the gym about an hour. This week I started going twice a day. On my lunch and then after work. Im not really losing pounds but I can see my body making changes already. My gurl says my face is getting skinny though.

Big ups to this thread for the motivation. I always feel that if another man can do it then so can I.
