I'd be getting my pockets r*ped going over a $400 Xbox or Playstation. Why not go all the way (or partially)?

many of them usually always go for an i7, a so so graphics card,1333 memory, 1000+ watt psu and some other random pc parts to rack up the price and say to play games you need a high end expensive $1000 or higher pc..it doesnt take much to do some research

This guy ain't buying sh*t.. I smell a fu*kin troll.

He clearly has something against PC gaming and decided to make this thread to argue with anyone who games on PC about how they somehow wasted money or paid too much for an experience you can have in a few months on consoles..

Before I got my PC I thought the difference from 30fps to 60fps was negligible and something PC gamers exploited as an argument to why it was superior..

Then I built my PC..

Just sit down in front a decent PC with a $300-$500 GPU running DX11 and capable of running the latest games at 45-60fps.. You'll understand the difference clearly.

Hell, Steam sales alone are worth having a gaming PC.

Technology is one area in life where you get what you pay for.. it's really just that simple.

Information for anyone who's considering a PC as an alternative to consoles or just in general. Does everything have to be an argument?
It sounds like you're trying to talk people out of buying a gaming PC to me.

Did you not see the video in the OP?

Why do so many of you rush to post a comment after skimming?

It's like you read but don't comprehend. Hear but don't listen.

I could reply to the few posts after this one, but what's the point?

It's funny that if someone can't provide a viable argument, they have to label someone a troll.

More than likely I will be building a desktop this fall after building one 7 years ago.

And it's not because of the graphics. Because it's a rip-off in almost every way conceivable to me. I'm doing this because of the anti-used game stance MS and Sony have seem to adopt.

I'd like to voice my concern with my dollar and I'm not happy either way.

I honestly don't care about what you think. Look at the first page. Looks like someone is interested in constructing a rig.

So, uh...you can probably go fu*k off or something right now.

What's a better CPU for a $300 rig? Or can you even comprehend the question to begin with?

Can you comprehend that these 300 dollar PC's your are posting are MicroATX? meaning minimal upgrades? 2 Ram Slots? Room for 1 Card? Small a.ss Chassis? With a Weak PSU? Can you comprehend that? This PC is only worth what you pay for....if you would actually listen to us instead of going off a guy on youtube is saying..."oh this is a great deal for 300 bucks"...Fails to mention the other sh*t..."Yeah you can upgrade to a i5 or i7 down the line".....Who the hell would pair a i5 or i7 in a microatx build with a 7770 or a 550 ti???? Come on son...He is just fishing for youtube hits and you are giving them to him LOL

Spend more. Not a grand, but more than $300. Those $300 rigs are decent at best. I don't see how they'll run anything current well. You are going to want to upgrade almost immediately. sh*t happened to me when I first started PC gaming I went with a cheaper card and was constantly dialing back specs to get a decent framerate and I had a Quad Core processor. You might as well cop a console.

First off, nobody is even asking for that bullsh*t you're spewing. So why don't you try to understand the context of why I'm even posting the rigs in the first place (which was stated in the OP)?

I don't know how many times I have to refer idiots like yourself to the OP. So I'll repeat myself because I'm such a nice person.

I don't think the 'Master Race' is a viable alternative to next gen consoles on a price per performance ratio. If the PS4/XB1 are $400, and you stack that up to a PC at about the same price, do you expect to play games with better graphics and frame rates at the same resolution?

Is the performance gain that significant for $500 more?
Fact: $300 rigs can play modern PC games at HD resolutions.
Fact: $300 rigs are not superior than next gen consoles
Fact: $500-$1.5k rigs are not cost effective compared to next gen consoles

However, these are builds for anyone to consider for their own budget if they want. It's here for anyone.

No need for you to act like a bi*ch.

You ask a straight question, you get a straight answer.

Nope.

The GPU and CPU of both the Xbox and PS4 would cost a few hundred dollars a piece. That's $400 without touching the memory, power supply, motherboard, & case.

A $700-$800 rig would match the consoles. An $800-$1.5k rig would make it better. $2K+ would blow them out of the water.
