I'm not talking about your post in particular. It's just something I noticed in a million other "slang" threads. "The Bay Area created most of the slang in the country blah blah blah." A lot of people are posting the same stuff. How do we even know the slang word originated in those areas?

Nobody paid attention to E-40?

Your favorite southern rapper probably did. Same with Too Short.

It's okay to get game from other n*ggas, just admit it when you do.

NEWS FLASH!!!! Aside from "sprinkle me" NOBODY but yall gave a fu*k about or paid attention to E40
This is what I was thinking, but you gotta realize that a lot of people from NorCal to SoCal bump 40 heavy. Maybe L.A. n*ggas started using it, and it spread that way.

Aren't you from Baltimore? I guess it depends on where you're from. I never witnessed anybody listening to an E-40 album in New Orleans either. Of course, he's hot in Cali though.

anybody with any type of hip hop common sense knows that 40 been a huge influence in the game since the 90's. if you dont know that or cant accept that..upgrade your rap knowledge because you sound like a 16 yr old

[B][I][COLOR="Yellow"] Nobody cares about The Bay doe.

n*gga can say what they want bout' Weezy, but that boy held it down for New Orleans during his whole run. Weezy everywhere. So when you see Weezy you think of New Orleans or Hollygrove. Nobody fu*ks with The Bay. n*ggas only know yall because of Tell Me Where To Go. If they know about Mac Dre it's because of Drake or American Gangsta:Romper Room Gang. The Bay gets no shine outside of 40 water and the hyphy movement they had back in 05/06. Which is why n*ggas on here from The Bay always feel the need to say The Bay originated something. While ever poster on here is comfortable with their cities or state spot and relevance in hip hop. Bay n*ggas feel the need to bring up old sh*t.
nothing you said right there is new tho everybody knows damn well the bay gets no shine. but we do get respect..except from this younger generation. 9 times outta 10 if you asked somebody outside of cali to name a bay area rapper, all they can say is 40 or too short

i thought slangs went out in the 90's
i'm getting old, when i hear ppl using slang i just figure they are ignorant and never made it through school
i know some ppl in the street but they try to talk a bit more educated because they don't want to be called stupid or give an edge for someone to gain confidence on em, they think they are better then everyone
how you going to talk down to someone not speaking proper english
anyways i see more classy sh*t from my street/"businessman" ppl
