Read a few history books and you would understand... maybe.
I wanna see the book that can definitively disprove the existence of "God" (whatever that is)
The same thing it has to do with not believing in the tooth fairy or santa claus. When you get older and smarter you stop believing in fiction.
When you ignore all the evidence that points to all religions being false
(i.e. The earth being billions of years old, the existence of dinosaurs, evolution etc.), you're ignorant.
If I told you I sincerely believed in unicorns and fairies and that I lived my life based on that belief and judged others based on those beliefs, you would think I'm stupid and rightfully so.
So when someone says they believe in a space lord that created the earth and everything on it and predetermines everything, I think they are an uneducated person, and rightfully so.
You know for all those contentions, I could give an explanation that could suffice
For the age of the earth, there's a verse in the Bible(cant rememeber the exact one) that says a 1000 yrs in the eyes of man is like a day to "God". So it is possible to say that the "God's" perception of time could be completely different from ours
For the existence of dinosaurs, different creatures were created on different days, so if we use the previous idea about God's perception of time, we could say that dinosaurs(just reptiles) were created on a different day and possibly died out before creation of man on the "6th day".
As for evolution, how does evolution actually discount the creation story? Why couldn't evolution be the mechanism by which plant and animal life came to be? How could God tell Moses about evolution, when that dude probably knew nothing of natural selection, chromosomes and all that s**t. Have you even seen anything evolve right in front of eyes? Yet you accept the evolution theory without any evidence. Sh*t might as well be ducktales too
Bro, I'm 23 and in college(if that means anything these days). Every now and then when I pick up the book, read it and I'm like TF?
But it would be highly presumptuous to say God doesn't exist because of some of the stories don't seem believable.
Sometimes you just have to say "I don't know"
