You cant stop a hustler, jay and them would have drop cds along pac and big no problems. . . Everyone was going platinum then anyways!!

Pac and big couldnt stay relevant like how hov did it, big maybe cause he would have jayz like how nas is nowdays. Lol

BIG needing Jayz?

Jayz was Freeway status to BIG

BIG brought back NY to the clubs when the west reigned supreme, he didn't need a Gayz.

Gayz was some awkward a.ss rapper wearing fake chains and rappin about Hawaii, then he wanted to be a don like BIG, took on his persona and image and in 2013 he is still biting BIG lines.

Snoop just telling it like it is, and he been seen it all, u bx jay stans cant handle the truth like tom cruise

At the people who started listening to Jay at hard knock life and drawing conclusions.

Pac had the west, but there was Dre and Snoop.

Big had the East, but Wu & Nas had people's attention respectively.

UGK, Eightball/MJG and an emerging Outkast had the south. Ghetto boys still got respect.

Twista/Bone had the midwest.

PERIOD. Every body else was coming off the Bench and couldn't hold a light to the names I just mentioned.

ofcourse somebody wud have caught some burn just wudnt have been in Pac and Bigs lane and they wudnt have got away with biting styles, lyrics, image without getin pulled up on it.

BIG and Pac knew there was only one ruler, thus BIG had his side and Pac had everything else.

You have ur chance to pop, u don't get a 100 tries at it, if u miss the boat, then that's it, u gotta bring something to the table which is different than ur fellow artist. Once the road was clear, u had many clones, lookalikes, flow jackers, image jackers, life style jackers etc...

The game was left in a terrible state, u lose two of the biggest rappers back to back within 6 months of each other, no other genre had that typa sh*t to deal with. Thus many rappers crept in through the cracks and got some shine, rappers who wud have not had a chance to reach the glory heights they did, some wud probs have gone back to selling crack

They were in the same rap group called The Commision, they were all DONS.

BIG would have needed jay-z in the future. Hov has proven he can adapt with the time Since Jazo/Hawaiian Sophi Days - WHICH PROVES HE WOULD HAVE MAKE IT EITHER WAY

Jay-z During BIG Days = 2 chainz with Ludacris. Who needs who now

comparing big to luda?

BIG was leader of The Commission, Jay was a member as was Cam, so miss me with that needing Jay, it was the other way around. That sh*t wud never have lasted anyways, Cam and Jay, too many egos.

BIG tried to help Jay pop, and nobody still fu*ked with him, he was awkward and borin, dude been in the game since 1989 and tried many different images, till he took BIGs entire persona.

Fact is Pac and BIG were light years ahead of Jay, had commercial classics, were younger than Jay, and had been in the game for less time than Jay.

Jay was a sideline rapper, he saw a opportunity to morph his image into BIG and in 98 he was doing his best BIG impersonation, while Ja was doing his best Pac impersonation, amongst many other sideline rappers.

i think Snoop potentially would have been irrelevant too...that is ESPECIALLY if Pac woulda started going at him like he supposedly did....imagine Pac in '97 sh1tting on Snoop..Imagine Big in '98 over the Hard Knock Life beat lol.

I'm dying at dummies thinking people where buying Ja Rule albums because he reminded them of 2pac. I'm laughing even harder at people thinking you have a damn near two decade run because someone died. BIG died opened a door for Jayz. Who gives a sh*t? Duke had to release an astronomical amount of quality music to keep that door open or he would have ended up like Shyne. Snoop really has nerve considering Dre opened his door. It's not like duke was doing independent shows in NY, NJ, PA gained a nationwide buzz so heavy that some suit at a label gave him a deal. Without Dre there is no Deep Cover, no Dre Day, No Aint nothin but a G thang and surely no Doggystyle. Why the hell would the east fu*k with Snoop if it wasn't for Dre? I still got much respect for Snoop simply because he did what others may deem impossible. A 20 year career where your only notable album is your debut? Powerful sh*t....

Cant hate his hustle and the fact he stayed relavant so long...but Snoop is lame as hell. Doggy style was classic...every album after is pure a.sscheecks and Snoop has had a new gimmick every damn year from football to television to Katy perry features ....his music BEEN a.ss. On the other hand look at the homie ice cube...he did it right. Of course he mad kids movies, but he never been a laughing stock like Snoop is. Ice cube still drops albums for his true fans, doesn't sell out over fu*k sh*t and has a MUCH better discography
