only tweets i see are draft picks and what not, so what is revis making the first year?

edit: alot of hate, i dont care im happy hes out of the afc east

i just want to know how much hes making in the first year of his contract.

and i find it real shady he would accept a contract with no guaranteed money
if you want to know the essence of the deal in layman's:

he doesn't play, he doesn't get paid. plain and simple. year to year.

how is that bad? this is an AWESOME deal for the Bucs. hate it or love it.

last time i LOVE the deal, hes out of the AFC east, Revis was a beast, and im sure he still will be..

i just have a hard time with the guaranteed money (especially a guy like Revis), and i wonder what his first year salary is.

I think the contract is purely a move to protect them against another catastrophic injury...even if he's at 75% he's better than most CBs and as long as he's healthy, they're keeping him on IMO

something fishy there, Revis the selfish money hungry guy from the Jets? who signed a contract then held out for another contract.. that guy agreed to a contract with no guaranteed money..

something is super shady there, either hes the dumbest motherfu*ker alive or his first year of play is all the money he needs.

i wonder if his first year is beyond 20 million..

will just have to wait till the dust settles to see what the actual contract is
Selfish money hungry guy? WTF are you talking about? Woody Johnson lowballed him in his rookie deal, but promised him if he out performed his deal that he would be rewarded a long term deal. Not only did he out perform his deal, he went on to be the best DB in the game. Before the last year of his deal, did the Jets reward him and sign him to a long term extension? Hell no! They told him they wouldn't renegociate and he had to play out his rookie deal, making 600K as the best DB in football AND best player in the history of the franchise. So that's when he held out, like he was supposed to. They signed him to a band-aid 3 yr deal so he could get his guarenteed money, but still refused to give him a long term deal. Woody hit the lotto when Darrelle tore his ACL b/c he didn't plan to sign him anyway, and by revis getting hurt, it took the public pressure off him b/c now there's a question mark next to revis. fu*k Woody Johnson and this whole organization! Best believe other players are watching how the Jets did revis and they're saying, "he was the best player they ever had, and that's how they treated him. Why would I want to go there? That could be me".

With all that said... I'm out! fu*k this sh*t! Can't wait till week 1

Stupid a.ss buc fan we had the same record as your sh*t team without a fu*kin coach

When was the last time y'all won the division?

Hatin a.ss n*ggas

What imma hate on the bucs of all teams for? I got Drew fu*kin Brees as my qb. My coach is one of the best the league has to offer . We've win no less than 11 games in his last 3 years. Our offense is top 2 every Sean Payton year.

it was the right move by the jets. it saves a ton of cap space starting next season. you lose the headache every year of dealing with revis. you hopefully make good use of the picks drafting top young talents who in the next 5 years, their combined salaries won't equal have of revis'.

Bucs also did well limiting their risk. i think revis will turn 29 next season, doubt he will be on the bucs longer than 2-3 years, at least not without a pay cut down the line. at the end of the day they have plenty of cap space to spare right now so they can afford revis. even if they deal goes horribly wrong for them, who's to say their draft picks would be busts anyway.

Buccs fans

With Revis there.... Roddy White is non existant.... I dont know about Julio though.

but

Ima miss Revis but now we have 2 firsts in the draft, and a 3rd and 5th?

Maybe we can give that 3rd to the Saints for Ivory.

and smh at people saying Revis only cares about money, JETS GAVE THE DUDE A FRONT LOADED CONTRACT KNOWING THIS WOULD HAPPEN, LOOK AT HIS CONTRACT AND YOU'LL UNDERSTAND.

Bottom line, Buccs got the best DB in the game in a division filled with receiving threats.

Jets got money off the books and more draft picks to bring youth and cheap contracts in.

Everybody wins.

Last season? Falcons had 144 rushing yards combined in the games versus Tampa. Turner had 35 of those.
