Here's one that comes to $1,632.89 -- Without a case/monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc. Of course you can always downgrade the SSD to a 128GB, smaller HDD. If you can find a cheaper optical drive get that too, don't really need a fancy one with everything being basically digital these days.

$1700? Isn't that a bit much for a gaming PC??
Not really.

A decent 24-27" low MS monitor, mechanical keyboard and decent gaming mouse is gonna set you back $350-400. Which leaves you $1300 for a higher end PC.

$1600 for that? No. Shop around for your parts from other sites, other then amazon. Try newegg/tigerdirect. A Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor? You don't need that. Save yourself $30-40 and get

or better yet save even more and get a I5. You don't have to have a i7, no games are going to greatly benefit having that over a i5-3570K and you save $100. $400 for 670? Get a MSI 670 and save 30 bucks. or better yet get a 660 TI for $300 and OC it and it will run almost identical to the 670. If you insist on 670 go with the FTW edition.

You have options. Don't just to the first sh*t you find and do your research, don't spend $1600 on this because it's not worth $1600, you can build a pc equally as good if not better for the price. The common mistake people have is that you have to have a $300-400 i7 cpu and you don't. You don't need 32gb of ram, you don't need a 1200w PS. You don't NEED a SSD.

Dropping the i7 to an i5, dropping the 1200 to a 600-700w and ditching the SSD alone will save you over $400. add $100 to the $400 on the 670 and get a 680 and you still have $300 to spare. Or drop the 670 for a 660ti. and save $500+

You don't need high end everything and you don't have to buy the most expensive sh*t. For fu*k sakes you can get a ibuypower/alienware that's better then this $1600 setup for the same price.

Exactly. You don't even need the SSD. For someone who isn't a pure PC gamer, knows a whole lot about PC or doesn't want to bother with moving around games you have no need. The only real and NOTICEABLE difference you get with SSD is loading times. And most people don't give a sh*t about having seconds shaved off. It's not worth the $200+ for a normal gamer. I don't even have one in my living room PC because i don't mind waiting a few seconds more for the loading.

On my office rig where i do a lot of stress testing on games i do have one but it's mostly used for those purposes.

pretty much and even then you can hook up the gaming pc to an HDTV and play with a wireless keyboard and mouse or wireless controller

You can totally do that. I have mine set up that way. My living room has both a wireless/mouse and 360 gamepad setup and a cherry switch mechanical keyboard/razer deathadder for when i want to go into clutch mode when i play games like Starcraft 2.

Some people prefer more gaming oriented keyboard/mice though and i always suggest mechanical keyboards which usually range between $80-150 and a decent $40-50 gaming mouse. Monitor it's up to the person buying. If you do go the monitor route i always suggest benQ. They are reasonably priced with extremely low 1-3ms and the picture quality is best you will get outside a IPS monitor.

dont listen to these budget gamers if u want to blow ur load all on one thing

grab whatever $1700 can get u , which is a lot .

I would definitely grab like a $600 graphics card easily. 2 Monitors, the rest is up to you

Just keep in mind what you want to use your computer for...

Not very. I think the HD 8000 and 700 series got pushed back to 2014 if I remember right. Although the GeForce 700 series has some mobile entries I believe.

The cards out now are "Next Gen" as they're capable of running Direct X11 capable games.

In terms of actual specs, you can't go wrong with the Titan at all.

That's whole lotta transitiors..fast a.ss memory...

I wish I had money to throw like that.

Dude...

For a single graphics card, you're able to run BF3 max settings @ 5760x1200 above 30fps.

This card will EAT BF4 and any other next gen title for breakfast. Next next gen ain't ready.
