IMO If your a felon and want to make decent money your best bet is to get into an apprenticeship and learn a skilled trade or get your cdl license and become some type of driver.
for sure. i'm an architect and it's much different than doing some large corporate type job. i've never had to fill out any job applications because it's a different type of field. i had a felony, fortunately i was able to get it expunged. the only issue i ever really had was when i was applying to umich for my master's and they called to ask if i had completed all the terms of my probation in order to grant my admission, they were aware that i had been charged with a felony and still were cool. all types of people make mistakes. you don't have to be the stereotypical criminal to catch a felony. just have a path in life and follow it. if you aren't a major fu*kup then the world should be willing to grant you some kind of forgiveness, especially if the crime was committed in your youth. i just don't think i can ever do any type of work for the government, lol. but it's straaaaaaaaight.
