To tell the truth Joe never really had a prime. His pen is better than it's ever been. Which is kinda crazy considering how long he's been around. I'll admit Kendrick got Joe on the song tip, but Joe is a way better writer.
Listen to songs like follow my lead, three sides to a story, my time, exxes, and tell joe cant construct a song

Joe Budden doesn't have a album or even a damn feature that the hip hop community as a whole gives a sh*t about. His most notable hip hop accomplishment is fu*kin Pump It Up. Is he a better bar for bar rapper? Sure but so is Cannibus. Section 80 and GKMC alone secured Kendrick as an artist superior to Joe Budden by miles. Crazy thing is Kendrick just getting started while Joe Budden already a wash out....

GKMC > S80 and it's not even close.

GKMC is a more complex album than s80 and it's also one of the most cohesive albums.

on topic : Kendrick >> buden any day

GKMC is probably the best album I have heard these last 3 years with MBDTF

Also, it hilarious how people genuinely frustrated that Kendrick is k!lling it right now. Ya'll complain about the decline in quality then turn on a negro who delivered a damn masterpiece. Joe Budden had over a decade to create an album that had any kind of impact. He failed every damn time. Kendrick did this as a newer artist. Wait until duke hits his prime. It's scary even thinking about it...

Wash out? Come on man. U feel the same way about k!ller mike and curren$y? The hip hop community didn't salute slaughterhouse? Even Jay gave it up to him at the 2k event at the 40/40 club. If what he has done the past few years is considered a wash out, then a lot of rapper need to pick up some soap a jump in a tub.

Dude has more accomplishments than just about every flavor of the month rapper out now. Do some research. I know he's not the talk in girls locker rooms ect, but to say he's a complete wash is foolish even if you don't like his music.

I'm probably the biggest Budden fan on this site, and I can admit that Kendrick is making better music right now. Overall though? Joey. Kendrick isn't up there yet as far as discography goes. It's too early to compare.

Let's face it, when it comes to pure raw MC skills, there's probably not one rapper in the game touching Joey so I voted for him.

That being said, Kendrick is much more diverse, versatile and capable of creating much more memorable music.

Joey will always fall short on people's lists with short attention spans who rely on catchy beats. He is an MC's MC. He isn't going to create a well rounded concept album like Kendrick but his lyricism is at a much higher level than Kendrick or frankly anyone else in the game.
I mean Joe did go into a monotonous stage subject matter wise with the mood muzik series but Joe IMO has always been someone who has shown great versatility once before and is capable of doing so again. I dont understand how people can say Kendrick is more versatile

I mean when you look at Joe's debut you had

Club Banger type records:
Pump It Up
Fire
Focus

Introspective Records:
Walk With Me
10 Minutes
Calm Down

Street Records:
Give Me Reason
Pusha Man
Real Life in Rap

Girl Records:
She Wanna Know
Ma Ma Ma

I dont see how Kendrick is more versatile, Joe is capable of doing everything Kendrick can do and more.
