I completely agree that they should be compensated, I just feel like they went after the wrong people. I don't see the good in crippling a volunteer program.
With liability its always a slipperly slope though, especially when there are so many different parties invovled, but I think they do have some stake in insinuating that HOA allowed Zimmerman to put in that position at that time, which in turn gave him the feeling that he was able to be so over zealous with his pursuit of an a.ssumed criminal. Like I said if kid was in the process of commiting a crime or even in the posession of stolen goods the family would not hava chance in hell, but the fact is he was unarmed and is thought to be just be walking home.......in that sense the HOA allowed a crazed man to dish out his own justice on family members of patrons who lived in the Community. I do agree though that these people are not directly responsible.
