lol isnt that what lebron james is? iguodala is just a poor mans lebron james. He is a guy that would be a great addition to any team and he also plays smart also. although i wish he would be more consistent, you cant go wrong by over-paying that kind of player.

have you seen Iquodala play the past 2 years, he can't create his own shot, only an above average athlete, slightly above average passer, erratic jumper, shoots below 60% from the line, dude isn't that good.

you n*ggas saying Iggy to LA never heard of cap space?

He's not signing to the MLE

so no Iggy for you n*ggas unless he waited till 2014
If Ron is opting out as he says he is and they can find a deal for Pau they would more than have enough. The only problem would be what they pay Dwight since Kobe is getting 30mil next year. Too bad this isn't the NFL or else Kobe could restructure his deal.

Sitting here thinking about it, DAYUM this n*gga alone is getting half of what most team's salary cap is

After being injured... there is no way in hell that Metta is opting out now

He's staying in his contract unless he wants to come back to LA for the vet min.

Also I wouldn't get rid of Pau personally because this messes up their whole 2014 FA plan.

The only person guaranteed to be under contract after 2014 is Nash.

If Dwight signs then Nash & Dwight, then you build around those two you could say.

And yeah apart of me wishes Kobe would reconstructure his deal

Yeah if Nuggets make any noise in the postseason, he gonna opt out and get like a 10 milli a year 4 year deal off the the Nuggets. Why would he want to go to the trainwreck version of the Lakers

Unless they get a new coach Lakers appeal is losing some of its luster especially if they miss the playoffs

Oh you can certainly overpay....see his contract that the Sixers dumped in the Bynum trade. It crippled the Sixers cap for years and was a main reason we were stuck in mediocrity, you can't give max type money to a 3rd option type player who thinks he's a #1

Trades

but in 2014, Gasol, Kobe, and Artest are all off the books financially. sh*t, they might chase after Bron in 2014, if Bron opts out. AI would be plan b and sign other good FAs

Ron is opting out. Opting out now gives him more money long term than what he could get in the last year of his deal. He is slated to make about 7.5 next year. If he opts out now he can get close to 5 or 5.5 for three or four years from another team that's fully guaranteed. If he waits it out then sucks completely next year he won't get anything close to 5 mil a year.

It's similar to what Richard Jefferson did a couple years ago with the Spurs. These dudes get to the end of the line and start seeing the writing on the wall. They just want to hang around a little longer.

Iggy's game is very comparable Doctor J in his 30s. Both players are very similar skill wise. All athleticism with no jumper.
