I don't understand the hate for Breathe in Breathe Out, that's one of my favorite Kanye songs. Anyway, I love Little Brother, but The Minstrel Show is a great album, and just that. A great album. It had no impact on Hip Hop when it came out, and none now. I didn't enjoy TM101 really, and prefer The Inspiration (TM102) but I understand its relevance to when it came out and Jeezy had everyone listening.

Classic doesn't mean flawless album. Cultural relevance and impact pretty much determine that.

I agree with you on this.

RD is a classic by the people whether you like or not. Plus it wasn't even on this list!

Take out Ross's first album and put Trilla/Deeper Than Rap and I agree with this list.
More so Deeper Than Rap cause that's what really gave Ross that extra appeal.

I agreed with you for a second.

But when you made this dumb a.ss statement I went right back to taking you as a clown.

I hope you're trolling or something.

Man on the moon 1 wasn't a classic is one statement I could have let rock.

But it had skippable tracks?

Leave the hip-hop culture alone to the real fans because you probably like garbage music any way. Go fu*k with some other genre of music so they can out cast you from their genre as well. Im totally revoking you hip-hop card until further notice. Like everything you say about rap until further notice is now null and void.

I mean MOTM 1 is one of those albums you play when your having a terrible day and you can let the whole album play and somewhere by the end of it you feel a bit better. HEck even MOTM 2 barley had any skippable tracks, I could argue that their is none but it was a bit more experimental and the fans might not like all of that.

Now his rock album that was trash!

But cmon!
taking me as a clown?

who the fu*k are you again?

 Contagioso said:
your opinion isn't more valuable than everyone else's.. most people will consider MOTM1 a classic album, and I agree. so shut the fu*k up f*ggot

all of this.

my opinion isn't more valuable than anyone else's yet when i don't agree with you i got told to shut the fu*k up, f*ggot?

the audacity.

EDIT: i remember why you're mad. i've been in conversations with you where you embarrassed yourself for no good reason.

you don't have to reply to me ever again.

You got guys coming in here saying that a classic can have skippable tracks lol. Thats bs. I also look at how i felt when the album was released and the way it felt when i use to listnen in to it back then. College drop out and f&l are not classics. I remember nobodysmilimg.com when lupe was dropping hella heat and single tracks by it self that were fire. Then it was a lil backpackers hype about f&l released and when it released on sept 25 2006. I remember listning to it and being a little bit dissapointed. It wasnt the new illmatic i was looking for.

Tracks like kick push , kick push 2 never lies, i gotcha are mediocre and slow down the album.

Now colledge dropout i wasnt dissapointed with but it does have 2 or three weak cuts on it and the skits hurt it.

Pt.2 thug motivation 101 was a classic. Had everyone rocking snow man tees and it invented that whole lil lody, young chop, zaytoven, lex luger, shawty redd etc trap sound. I didnt even like jeezy until this came out. From front to back it slapped in the whip and i wasnt even a fan of ignorant a.ss rap.

i don't understand how an albums relevancy determines whether or not it is a classic. so because people were too stupid to appreciate the music when it came out or even now, it's not classic music?

taking minstrel show for example, cd is a classic, front to back, flawless music. because people didn't know who they are doesn't mean the music isn't classic. if you take out the name little brother from the cd and put outkast's name on the album and it sells huge, now it can be considered a classic?

Perfect album with perfect play time. None of the filled 60 minutes+ records, straight to the point, one of the best productions and Common goes in on every track. It could be the modern Illmatic.
good comparison. Mos def a classic in my eyes
