I wonder why E.1999 Eternal is never mentioned amongst the "classics"..hmmm
Same here. I never hear it mentioned in "classic album" conversations. it has no filler on it at all & every track on that album bangs hard! It's in my top 10 of all time no without a doubt!

Perfect album with perfect play time. None of the filled 60 minutes+ records, straight to the point, one of the best productions and Common goes in on every track. It could be the modern Illmatic.

your opinion isn't more valuable than everyone else's.. most people will consider MOTM1 a classic album, and I agree. so shut the fu*k up f*ggot

I agreed with you for a second.

But when you made this dumb a.ss statement I went right back to taking you as a clown.

I hope you're trolling or something.

Man on the moon 1 wasn't a classic is one statement I could have let rock.

But it had skippable tracks?

Leave the hip-hop culture alone to the real fans because you probably like garbage music any way. Go fu*k with some other genre of music so they can out cast you from their genre as well. Im totally revoking you hip-hop card until further notice. Like everything you say about rap until further notice is now null and void.

I mean MOTM 1 is one of those albums you play when your having a terrible day and you can let the whole album play and somewhere by the end of it you feel a bit better. HEck even MOTM 2 barley had any skippable tracks, I could argue that their is none but it was a bit more experimental and the fans might not like all of that.

Now his rock album that was trash!

But cmon!

all of this.

50 Cent's Get Rich... has a real sh*tty Metacritic score to be considered a classic. Also, the second half is pretty boring compared to the opening tracks which are fire.

As for College Dropout..too many sh*tty skits and also: Workout Plan. I'd only consider it classic because of the memories I have with this record. It was a good time when it dropped and I played the album so many times...

Little Brother? Eh, that was a very good concept album, but it had exactly 0 impact on the rap scene and it has changed absolutely nothing.
Well if you gauge it by impact and change though... That'd bump up GRODT though right? I do feel like it kinda tapered off at the end though. I dunno. It's always been kind of in limbo between classic and very good album. EVERYBODY was jammin it though which was rare because you rarely ever heard anything outside of Texas/LA being bumped where I'm from

College Drop out is NOT a classic. Breathe in Breathe out took that away from it....

The Carter II is a classic.. impact and no skippable track(s)

Im thinking GRODT is classic, impact is clearly there but idk about skippable tracks

I think Take Care is a classic but its too soon to tell.

a classic has to have social impact within its genre at least (at time of release or later),
0 skippable tracks
timeless in the sense that the album as whole isn't exploiting a niche sound that is currently popular at the time its made
less than 50% feats for a solo project.
GRODT has more skippable tracks than college dropout

And I dont understand on your philosophy on why an album has to have an impact so much. To me albums that have impact make them more of a revolutionary album that changed the game. in my opinion a classic album is only about the music in it. not about the impact on the rap game.

im not saying it isnt a classic, but what did the carter 2 do to chance the rap game? Wayne didnt really have a serious influential impact until he started dropping some of the sickest tracks in rap on all his mixtapes

Really by you standards there would 1 biggie classic, 1 pac classic, 1 Nas classic, and maybe 1 or 2 classic hip hop album in existence.

When people say the "old wayne" they are undoubtedly talking about "The carter 2 wayne" 500 degrees got people taking notice, the carter 1 is a southern classic, and by time the carter 2 came out Wayne was crossing over to the gen pop of white folks.

Black people sh*t is usually at its best right before white people steal it and fu*k it up.

you can change the last "white" to "hollywood" if you want too
