11. Wayne wouldnt be wayne with out help from the dipset crew

n*ggas in the south felt dipset and most n*ggas in the south hate NY artist just for gp. So Dipset HAD to be major
I think you got that the wrong way around...some ny artists were koo collabin with the south until the labels/radio/etc started cartering to mainly the south. Some southern fans/artists may have not liked northern music & they kept it moving. They werent going out the way to hate like ny cats were saying hiphop dead etc etc

These guys along with 50 Cent were the premier catalysts in causing the downfall of NY in mainstream hip-hop.

Wu-Tang Clan, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Mobb Deep > these f*ggots

They made sampling old classics cool again, because if some remember correctly Diddy and Company had played it out.

No, 50 k!lled mainstream hip hop in NY with all that beef sh*t. Curtis had dudes scared to do collabs out of fear that this dude was gonna blackball them

Dipset was one of the last groups from NY that had mainstream sh*t spinning til 50 came in the picture..

Them Dipset fans and Gunit fans were equally annoying. I couldn't go into any thread here without seeing a stupid comment by one of them. There were the hip hop equivalent of the LBJ and Kobe stans.

Pretty much what i ment "hate" not "hate on". n*ggas in the south dont really fu*k with NY sound, but they dont down talk it.

and im more so talking bout the fans. I feel you tho... NY n*ggas are notorious for throwing shade

I hate how people try to give dipset and Wayne credit for contributions to the Mixtape game when 50 did that way before them.

It's like when they tried to give Kanye credit for soul samples when RZA was doing that 10 years before
