pac, dre, nas, pun, nelly (country grammar is still the only album i like of his though), outkast, dmx and eminem pretty much rounded out those years i think...

back when the majority of good albums could be listened to without skipping any tracks...

16-18 was 94 to 96 for me so i was listening to Warren G, Snoop, Bone Thugs N Harmony, 2pac, Outkast, Jay-Z. Guess it isnt much of a surprise to say that they're the main people i listen to today. Its that time in your life when music really starts hitting you inside your head, you start relating to the words in the songs. I have vivid memories of the first time i heard "Regulate" and "First of the Month" etc.

Biggie
2Pac
Jay-Z
Busta Rhymes

The only difference now is I would put
Kanye West

at the top of that list followed by

Drake.

And...add Rick Ross above Busta

It's important to know I prefer Soul/RnB over Rap, and I prefer to listen to hip-hop 1) In the whip 2) At the club.

Bone Thugs N Harmony and The Geto Boys.

I was 16 in 1997, and that was about the time The Geto Boys "The Resurrection" and Bone Thugs N Harmony's "The Art of War" came out. Those 2 CDs were VERY influential to me.

Scarface was another one I was listening to(might as well blend him in with The Geto Boys, but I used to listen to "The Diary" on endless repeat at about that time too.)
