fu*k that sh*t, I stuck to my job for 5 years and got 3 raises a company car + a bunch of vacation time. I dont have 60k+ debt, and I dont need to waste another 2-4 years as an intern to one day finally making less then what I am making now. In 2 years I am going to be a manager at a new shop my owner is going to open.
u did it

but the rest are working for chump change

I'll be 30 years old this month and let me tell you, me and all my n*ggas who went to college damn sure aint waiting on a store manager job that may or may not happen in two years.

Upside and glass ceiling. That's what college gets you. I know n*ggas who walked into managerial positions and didn't have to wait 5 years to do so. There are advantages to having higher education. And them internships you scoff at are damn well worth it. That's academic credits+work force experience AT THE SAME DAMN TIME!

I also know people who worked at a job for years but weren't eligible for promotion because they didn't have a degree and some of them went back and got it. So congratulations on your success, but don't downplay the importance and advantages of education.

This solely depends on the person. I dropped out of college to hustle. Was in & out of the workforce for years. I finally gave up the street dreams & went into the workforce permanently. Because I started my own business while I was hustling, I basically walked into management positions. I worked w/a girl who had her degree, but we both were in the same management positions. She did get better pay, but some of it was because she was hired by a different manager than I was. But w/o a degree, we were on the same level. I took a lesser position last yr, so I can put a sheepskin on the resume. It does help, but it ain't the be all to end all. It mostly depends on how well you network & sell yourself. So if you got hustle, experience, and a sheepskin, you got a good shot.

congratufu*kinglations...

you know people like engineers, doctors, chemist actually need to go to college to get what they need to become successful in their trade and most people are not as luck as you and find a job they like off the bat...

now people who go to college and leave with a BA in psychology, sociology, and ect aint going to find sh*t unless they go get their masters

This isn't surprising to me. Of all the degrees that are offered in college, only a few are actually USEFUL in the real world. What this study needs to do is show what these people studied in college.

Unless you're going to an Ivy League university or a top tier university like Stanford or Berkeley, don't major in some sh*t like Japanese Literature, or you'll be one of the people in the 45% of this study.

You get what you deserve. If you bust your a.ss in school, you'll succeed. If you get a diploma with a 2.1 GPA, you're going to get passed up on so many job offers. Everyone wants the best.

I wanna see the stats of college graduates with a 3.0 and higher living at home with their parents
