Feb 22 - Michigan Man Gets His $7,500 African American pr0n Collection Stolen
MUSKEGON, MI -- Earlie Johnson had a bad day Tuesday when he came home from work to find his considerable pr0n collection and three televisions had been stolen.
According to Johnson, he and his fiancée arrived home from work around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19, and discovered the back door of their house in the 1700 block of McIlwraith Street had been kicked in.
After making a sweep of the house, the couple discovered that three flat screen television sets and Johnson’s valuable vintage pr0nography collection had been stolen.
“Basically, I had a pr0n collection that was priceless,” Johnson said. “It was worth -- to be straight up -- $7,500 dollars.”
Johnson was confident of the monetary value of his stash of pr0nographic movies, which includes 1970s classics to more current titles starring some of the biggest names in adult movies, because he had the collection appraised by the CD Exchange in Holland.
“They buy your CDs and they also appraise what you got,” he explained. “They appraised my collection. It was done a couple years ago so they may not remember.”
Johnson told Muskegon police officers investigating the burglary that his trove was "one of the largest pr0n collections" in Michigan.
When asked whether anyone knew about his expensive collection of DVDs, he said “a couple people knew” but wanted to leave it at that.
Not one to admit defeat, Johnson went out right after discovering the burglary to buy a brand new HD 3D TV with the 3D glasses included so he and his fiancée can watch Blu-Rays in 3D.
“I will be getting my pr0n in Blu-Ray,” Johnson said. “The haters aren’t gonna stop me from collecting again.”
To start rebuilding his collection he said he will go to “underground people” who are in the market of buying, selling and trading s3xually explicit DVDs.
Johnson wanted to make it crystal clear that “it ain’t illegal to sell DVDs.” He said these clandestine business dealings are like secret swap meets where people trade adult movies in what could easily be described as a 50 shades of gray market.
“Whoever got the best collection, that’s who gets the best money,” Johnson said.
He is certain that whoever took his movies knew how much they could get for them and “that’s why they stole them.”
“I had a (great) pr0n collection,” Johnson said. "I ain’t ashamed of it.”
He said he felt violated by the burglary, but having the chance to tell his story has really turned his frown upside down.
“I’m the Hugh Hefner of Muskegon,” Johnson said proudly. “I appreciate all beautiful women. Ain’t no doubt.”
Like Hefner, the 43-year old Johnson considers himself to be a man of style who likes going out in fashionable clothes with a lady on his arm. He enjoys the spotlight and said he likes to show off the expensive things he can afford when he goes out to the club.
“I’ve been a trendsetter in Muskegon since 1979. That’s when I came into my own,” Johnson said. “That’s when the girls started liking me and I started liking them.”
Johnson said he’s choosing to stay positive and not to let this setback get him down.
“Don’t give the haters of Muskegon no power,” Johnson said. “Just live your life and have fun. Do what you want to do.”
