No beef but why are you copy and pasting change logs? What purpose does that serve besides clogging up the thread?

I don't see you post much but knowing you said AOKP is a bad ROM would make me ignore any advice from you in the future. Last time I ran it (Ktoonsez version w/his kernel) was awhile ago but I got good speeds and great battery life. I don't see the problem there.

On topic, I'm currently on the stock S III ROM w/the AGAT kernel. It sips battery.

I didnt say AOKP is a bad ROM. Y.G. said its a good choice if you want to run a Pure AOSP ROM. And thats completely false. AOKP is not built from Vanilla AOSP it is built from CM sources which is a bunch of sh*t patches and coding on top of AOSP.

I posted his change log because I can and dont give a fu*k. He says Im spamming that site and youre damn right I am because you all need to check out the work hes doing for your GS3. Hes not someone that just pushes patches and commits he finds. Hes a real dev unlike 99% of the people on xda. Hes about to release a 3in1 sprint/tmobile/verizon GS3 kernel with an aroma installer allowing you to customize the kernel when you install it. Hes also working on a PURE AOSP ROM that is Linaro compiled and completely -o3 optimized with zero warnings or errors without just hiding them like almost every other dev does just to let the ROM finish building. Hes been working on his kernels and ROM for months and right now he is working with a Qualcomm dev to incorporate Anti-Kang features so half a.ss devs cant just steal his work.

And actually AOKP isnt that great either. Its ok but roms like King Kang, RootBox, and PAC have a lot more options if thats what youre looking for.

Apparently Im wasting my time though trying to help you guys out. That changelog is probably jibberish to all of you anyway so Ill just chill.

Little Douglas wants attention so bad. Now this guy with "electronic knowledge" is lying for no reason. Please quote the post where I say AOKP is a vanilla AOSP ROM. F*ckin idiot.

This idiot ain't coded nothing a day in his life but acts like he knows more about coding than anyone else. B*tch please, nobody believes you have "electronic knowledge." Especially when your dumbass is claiming Ktoonsez isn't a real dev.

Now, will someone please pay attention to little Douglas and flash one of his sh*tty suggestions so he won't feel ignored?

I'm running aokp_toro_jb-mr1_build-1

I haven't really been into the roms as much as I was when i first got my gnex. Can someone let me know what kernel I could use to get better battery life or what settings I should set the voltages at?

I like the aokp rom I'm running right now but is there any out that are hands down better? I don't want to wipe and flash a new rom unless it's a lot better.

I've heard good things about this -

And AOKP is never a bad choice if you want to go pure Android.
^ there you go you. fu*kin idiot. im pretty sure pure Android is vanilla AOSP. and someone look at the sh*t rom hes "heard good things about". y.g.'s a fu*kin cornball who dont know sh*t. here let me throw a smiley here like he does:

heres how real of a dev ktoonsez is:

"posted by ktoonsez
I have been running -O3 for about 6-8 months. Just ran a Antutu and got 10,716 if that means anything to you"

he claims his kernel is -O3 optimized which is the highest level of optimization achieved when compiling with a linaro compiler. a.ssUMING his repo is GPL Compliant (you can read up on that yourself) lets take a look at it :

here is his makefile:

here is the latest commit to his makefile:

in the latest commit in his makefile he said he missed an -O3 flag so he went and changed it from -O2 to -O3. thats great and all, but if you look above those lines it says this:

ifdef CONFIG_CC_OPTIMIZE_FOR_SIZE
KBUILD_CFLAGS += -Os

^ these lines basically say: If "def" (defconfig) has "CONFIG_CC_OPTIMIZE_FOR_SIZE" enabled then it will build at "-Os" optimization level.

here is his defconfig file:

here is what he has his CONFIG_CC_OPTIMIZE_FOR_SIZE set to:

CONFIG_CC_OPTIMIZE_FOR_SIZE=y

as you can see, he has OPTMIZE_FOR_SIZE enabled. once he changes this line to "n" THEN it will ATTEMPT to compile his kernel at the optimization level his flags are set to. lets see how far he would get if he did that. probably not far at all because he would probably have A sh*t LOAD of errors and warnings to fix because -O3 optimization level requires your code to be a certain way before it will successfully build your source. but i must be pulling all of this out of my a.ss right? i dont know anything right? im just looking for some attention right? then here you go:

here is google:

prove i dont know sh*t.

ktoonsez is a half a.ss "dev" and a liar none the less. all he does is watch other dev's repos, specifically ziggy's, kangs their commits, and then adds them himself. im not some god coder, i dont claim to be. but i do know a thing or two about building roms and kernels. there is the google link. prove i dont know sh*t about what im talking about.

check out

^for you Y.G.

insert smiley face:

Since when is pure Android not considered AOSP? Dumbass. Vanilla Android is the stock ROM you would find on a Nexus device.

Little Douglas, you're an idiot who copy and pastes information he finds on XDA and acts like an expert. I'm going to give you a chance to prove your "electronic knowledge."

Post any mod that you've compiled yourself. I'll match every mod you post with one of my own. Don't forget to post the source code for the mods you've created with your "electronic knowledge." Poor phaggot.

No sh*t vanilla AOSP is on a Nexus... fu*kin idiot.
Since when is AOKP built from AOSP?
Its built from CM which is less AOSP than TW.
You said if he wanted pure android AOKP is not a bad choice.
Which shows you dont know sh*t.
And show me where i copy and pasted that info from.
And im not lookin for attention. Im educating and informing.
Theres a difference.

Its built from CM which is less AOSP than TW.
You said if he wanted pure android AOKP is not a bad choice.
Which shows you dont know sh*t.
And show me where i copy and pasted that info from.

That has to be the stupidest thing you've said little Douglas.

And now he thinks he's "educating and informing" with his "electronic knowledge." I've heard it all now.

Where are your mods that you've written yourself, poor Douglas? Show us you can do more besides copy-paste stuff from Google searches with your vast "electronic knowledge."
