I guess you can't read. You still trying to argue that you have to submit to a background check at a gun show. You're only required to undergo a background check if it's a federally licensed dealer. Explain to me, sir, if every gun purchase requires a background check, why did the NRA say they're against universal background checks?

so you think anyone can walk into a gun show, buy a gun and take it home same day?

@Universal BckGrd Check

The NRA believes that if you know the person your selling the gun too.. That we shouldn't have to do a background check...

IE: my dad sellin me a gun

But why make another law, when we have one that already exists!!!!!
Why make new laws again... that are the same as older laws...

U.S. federal law requires persons engaged in interstate firearm commerce, or those who are "engaged in the business" of dealing firearms, to hold a Federal Firearms License and perform background checks through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System maintained by the FBI prior to transferring a firearm. Under the terms of the Firearm Owners Protection Act of 1986,
However, individuals "not engaged in the business" of dealing firearms, or who only make "occasional" sales within their state of residence, are under no requirement to conduct background checks on purchasers or maintain records of sale
(although even private sellers are forbidden under federal law from selling firearms to persons they have reason to believe are felons or otherwise prohibited from purchasing firearms).

Oh really?

A speed limiter is a governor used to limit the top speed of a vehicle. For some classes of vehicle and in some jurisdictions they are a statutory requirement, for some other vehicles the manufacturer provides a non-statutory system which may be fixed or programmable by the driver.

did you forget to post this part?

Cars

Today, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz limit their production cars to 250 kilometres per hour (155 mph). Certain quattro GmbH and AMG cars, and the Mercedes/McLaren SLR are exceptions. The BMW Rolls-Royces are limited to 240 kilometres per hour (149 mph). Jaguars, although British, also have a limiter. As do the Swedish Saab and Volvo on cars where it is necessary.

German manufacturers initially started the "gentlemen's agreement", electronically limiting their vehicles to a top speed of 250 kilometres per hour (155 mph), since such high speeds are more likely on the Autobahn. This was done to reduce the political willpower to introduce a legal speed limit.

In European markets, General Motors Europe sometimes choose to discount the agreement, meaning that certain high-powered Opel or Vauxhall cars can exceed the 250 kilometres per hour (155 mph) mark, whereas their Cadillacs do not. Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Porsche, Aston Martin and Bentley also do not limit their cars, at least not to 250 kilometres per hour (155 mph). The Chrysler 300C SRT8 is limited to 270 km/h. Most Japanese domestic market vehicles are limited to only 180 kilometres per hour (112 mph) or 190 kilometres per hour (118 mph).[3] The top speed is a strong sales argument, though speeds above about 300 kilometres per hour (190 mph) are not likely reachable on public roads.[citation needed]

Many performance cars are limited to a speed of 250 kilometres per hour (155 mph)[4] to limit insurance costs of the vehicle, and reduce the risk of tires failing.[citation needed]

Because they contain long stretches of smooth, well-engineered roads without general speed limits, German Autobahns are often used - officially and unofficially - by car manufacturers and other parties to test the performance of sports cars (or other high performance vehicles) in a setting where they can reach their full potential.

I don't see how you're proving cars don't have limiters. Like I said, cars are limited for safety. You're trying to argue that cars can go past 115, I never said they couldn't. I said most, again most cars, are limited to 115. You said cars don't have governors, which is incorrect

youre wrong, AGAIN. they have rev limiters, which are not governors

speed limits are for safety. why make a car that can go above the highest posted speed limit in the states if that was the case?

i see your point but youre reaching, just like the car argument is reaching

a gun is the only thing out of the 3 that is actually made to k!ll. its intention is to k!ll people. so yes, it needs to be at least regulated higher than the other 2

and there really isn't a good argument to have any kind of auto/semi-automatic weapon around. they were made for the military and to be used with military training. not on the streets. if you really believe that having a handgun will keep you safe (which australia, by the way, proved you don't need to be safe), then get a handgun. no reason for a gun that can shoot 100's of bullets/minute

You keep trying to compare guns to cars

If you k!ll someone with a car, you used it wrong.

If you k!ll someone with a gun, you used it right.

There are many regulation in place to improve car safety. Hell, you need a learner's permit for a year before you can legally obtain a driver's license. Speed limits everywhere. Seat belts laws. Crash star rating imposed by the government. You name it, the government has regulated it to the max for safety.

Do you have to train for a year to purchase a gun? No. Are there speed limits on guns? No. Are you required to register you gun? No.

So again, you keep trying to compare something heavily regulated to something that is not. Not only is it not a logical comparison, it also hurts your own case. The government regulates everything to increase safety but yet you're trying to say guns shouldn't be touched?

Do you think we should be able to purchase tanks too? They're classified as vehicles too. The Ferrari F430 was banned in the US because it didn't meet safety standards. Your logic fails.
Have you ever bought a gun? Idk where all this you don't have to register a gun talk comes from. Those situations are by and far NOT the norm.

you're a fu*king idiot, how many times are you gonna make this false equivalency? A car when used correctly isn't going to k!ll anyone a gun is designed to k!ll. Turn off the limbaugh and glenn beck.

Dude, if there was a website selling full auto guns... w/o background check it would be shut down in a sec....

if you go to the membership page, you can see you have to get a verified...

go to FAQ's and you can find information on laws regarding the purchasing a firearm & background checks.
