She'll be good, that remix with Rick Ross is garbage though, JD doesnt work magic for everyone. The original is 10 times better. Rick Ross spit a half a.ss verse. I'ma check for the album. I like her better than Kelly and Im pretty sure this album can do better than Kelly's. she cant fu*k with B though.

Busta Rhymes
The Big Bang
(Aftermath/Universal)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[pic - click to view]

If you're as good as your guest list, Busta Rhymes is on top.

The gravelly rapper's seventh CD The Big Bang is a veritable VIP lounge of hip-hop royalty, with Missy Elliott, Stevie Wonder, Rick James (via sampling), Q-Tip, Swizz Beats, J. Dilla, Wu-Tang's Raekwon, Kelis, Timbaland, Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am, Nas and Dr. Dre (who also happens to be Rhymes' boss at the Aftermath label) showing up in front of the mic or behind the board.

Trouble is, it takes more than a great cast to make a great album. You also need some great songs and inspired performances. And The Big Bang tends to fizzle out in that regard.

A lot of these cuts seem tepid and off-balance -- rhythmically sparse and simplistic but overly arranged and fussily produced. All those guests take attention away from Busta. And even when he does have the mic to himself, he seems distracted -- more subdued and rambling, less hungry and aggressive than before.

Maybe that's Dre's fault; in the liner notes, Busta thanks the NWA icon for teaching him the virtue of patience. Guess that's part of the reason it's been four years since Busta's last disc.

Taking your time is well and good, but when the results are as mixed as this, maybe it wouldn't hurt a brother to get a little more impatient next time around.

Track Listing:

1. Get You Some - Busta Rhymes
2. Touch It - Busta Rhymes
3. How We Do It Over Here - Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliott
4. New York S*** - Busta Rhymes,
5. Been Through the Storm - Busta Rhymes, Stevie Wonder
6. In the Ghetto - Busta Rhymes,
7. Cocaina - Busta Rhymes,
8. You Can't Hold the Torch - Busta Rhymes, Chauncey Black,
9. Goldmine - Busta Rhymes,
10. I Love Me B**** - Busta Rhymes
11. Don't Get Carried Away - Busta Rhymes
12. They're out to Get Me - Busta Rhymes
13. Get Down - Busta Rhymes
14. I'll Do It All - Busta Rhymes, LaToiya Williams
15. Legend of the Fall Offs - Busta Rhymes

Field Mob
Light Poles and Pine Trees
DTP/Geffen

[pic - click to view]

Rating: XL

Respect has been hard to come by for Field Mob. Even with a hit single like 2002’s “Sick of Being Lonely,” Shawn Jay and Smoke can’t seem to shake the misperception of being just another countrified rap group. Now backed by Ludacris, the Albany, Ga., natives are ready to change all that with their DTP debut, Light Poles and Pine Trees, and prove they’re a force to be reckoned with.

Field Mob gets right down to business on the South Georgia area code anthem “229.” Over producer CKAY1’s swirling sirens and frantic scratches, Shawn confidently spits, “I don’t care what you think, I don’t care what you say/Leader of the New South, Shawn Jay!” Smoke exudes equal confidence on the guitar-heavy “It’s Over,” as he chimes in, “It’s ’cause we country that we under-appreciated/I ain’t arrogant, I ain’t conceited.”

The two continue to shine on their respective solo cuts. Inspired by Kelis’ 1999 hit “Caught Out There,” Shawn vents about his baby-mama drama on the rock-influenced “I Hate You So Much.” Not to be outdone, Smoke flexes his lyrical muscle on “Blacker the Berry.” Supported by a 2Pac vocal snip, Smoke retraces his childhood issues dealing with skin color (“They said I was so black that I sweat coffee/Nobody would touch me/No girlfriends ’cause shorties thought I was ugly”).

While Field Mob makes a point to raise the bar lyrically, they do stumble at times. Take the Jazze Pha–produced lead single, “So What” featuring Ciara, which comes off like a cheesy dance track. And although the raucous “Baby Bend Over” should get the tip drills in a 90-degree angle, the whisper flow has been beaten to death already. But with infectious records like “At the Park” and “Smilin’,” the Mob’s quest for respect is not lost as they make a smooth transition from “ashy to classy to classic.”—MARK ALLWOOD

It aint official so it aint worth grading, most of the track titles arent even right from what Lupe said. anyway I'm going to treat this like a mixtape until the retail drops. This collection of songs is dope though.

I didn't know what to expect when I received this mixtape in the mail on saturday. I was on my way to a wedding and figured, fu*k it, I gotta long drive anyways. So I didn't think much of this because I was already slappin' The Big Bang, which is a great album. I put in this New Crack City, which is produced entirely by Clinton Sparks, except for one track which was produced by the late J. Dilla. THIS ALBUM IS FIRE!!! He has a lot of FLIPMODE features, which is probably cuz they weren't on his album Big Bang that much. Anyways, Clinton Sparks' production skills are on another level!! I think this album might be harder than The Big Bang. 34 Tracks that are straight slaps, and busta's on about 28 of them. New Crack City is definately a mixtape that you don't wanna miss out on. Pick it up from MixUnit.com and you will be pleased with this cd.

Yo, I got this album in the mail on saturday, and though I would slap it on my way to a wedding, which was far away. This album really is crack!! I slapped this the whole way there, and back. 34 Tracks of heat, 28 with Busta Rhymes on there. A lotta features from Flipmode. I actually think that this mixtape is harder than The Big Bang. Clinton Sparks produced all except for one track that was produced by the late J. Dilla. Anyways if you guys ain't got this, ya'll missin out on some real Busta Bust down sh*t. This album is definately a don't miss. Go to Mixunit.com and cop it for like $7. No joke if you got this, you know what I'm talkin' bout.
