Netflix Goes Super with New 'Super HD' Streaming Option

It looks like Netflix is feeling the heat from its competitors! Revealed earlier today was Netflix's newest options to stream your favorite movies, and tv shows. These new options come in the forms of 3D playback and what Netflix calls "Super HD", the later of which allows for crisp, 1080p streaming on supported devices.

Currently, these two new options are only available to a select few ISPs and even then, you have to own a device that supports it. Gaming wise, the only consoles to support these features at this time are the PS3 and Wii U. For the full list of supported devices and to see if your ISP has what it takes to support this, follow the link.

Your ISP probably doesn't support it.

Most ISPS including the biggest ISPS in the world like Comcast and ATT don't support it yet, and by super it's going to be 1080p instead of 720p/1080i, it's nothing special.

If you don't notice the difference between 720p-1080p then your ISP doesn't support it or you need glasses.

Talk about bandwidth murder.

Guys. You need no more than 720p or 480p, you can hardly tell the difference anyway.
there is definitely is difference in picture quality going from 720p to 1080p

you are right about it being a bandwidth murder tho.

1080p movies by them selves are like 8-12gb and 1080p 3D movies are over 20gb. customers are gonna be pissed when they find out theyve burned all there monthly bandwidth way before the month is over.
