He sucks, he's slow, and he's inconsistent. None of his skill set in college seemed to be enough to be ready for league in my opinion. I really hope he gets better, just dont think it was his time.

next year will be much better. Payton returns and the Hornets get a healthy Gordon plus plenty of cap space for this off-season.

so we talking about worse season EVER for a rook

how can 1 season be the worse and there is no other to compare it too
 J said:

He's not having HIS worst season ever. He's having THE worst season ever, regardless of player. Him being a rookie has nothing to do with it.

Haven't watched one second of the Pelicans play, but are they still trying to use him as a point guard?
Being from New Orleans I like to keep an eye on the Pelicans, though I've hated them even before they moved here. But nah he plays alongside Vazquez a lot. Vazquez is a pretty decent PG, would make a damn good back up on a good team, but being a team's best player...well that explains the pelicans success or lack their of. But that boy Rivers is fu*king horrible. He went 0 for something on like 8 different nights and often times have more shots than points. He's overconfident in his abilities and once he falls on his face he gets unconfident and runs from his shots. Can't play a lick of defense....I think he's pretty damn horrible. He got a LOT of work to do or he'll be out of the league soon.

I won't say he's complete a.ss right now, it's still early in his career. But I watched a buncha different Hornets game & he has a few things in his game that he should work on. One of them being moving without the ball. He seems to just be standing around most of the time waiting for some to get him the ball. I didn't know he was a "spot up shooter."

But hey, people be forgetting there have been a whole lotta players to not cut it in the NBA.
Blow or Bust the kid shoulda stayed in college for a minute. I'd pay to play for Coach K!

Rookie or not, he was a lottery pick. And going just by raw numbers and whatever this guy uses to get his ratings, he's having the worst season of all time. It is what it is.

I don't think it's a knock on the player as much as it's just a knock on the season he's having.
this is just my opinion, but lottery picks aint the same as they use to be. Lottery picks these days consist of 18-19 yr olds and many of them will be development projects. Lottery dont hold the same weight as it did when it was 20-22 yr olds who had solid college careers. I dont really even watch NO like that so I couldnt speak on how he's playin, i just find it retarded that a rookie esp a rookie nowadays would even be in consideration.

Rivers is stinking it up...but he has been playing better of late. But his main problem is finishing at the rim which worries me. He struggled early in college with this as well...but he improved later in the season. Idk if he will improve but he can get to the rim at will, he just can't finish.
