Didn't get to watch the game...hate my n*ggas lost looks like Ram got they number.. Can't comment too much but yall really think Alex would have won this game??
Let's keep it real we were down 14-0 last time we played w/ Alex when he got us a score in the 2nd half before he went out. I'm not blaming that sh*t on him solely nor saying he should have been benched. I stand by my comments. I mean we've lost 2 w/ Alex so let's not act like it would have been a for sure when if Alex was starting. And I wasn't saying I was for Kaep starting over Alex or Alex starting over Kaep. But CK opens the offense more. Sound like he had a off game.
See this is why I jump to defend guys. You act as if Alex plays defense and is the reason we were down 14-0 in that last Rams game when you make your statement. Plus, it wasn't the 2nd half Smith went out with the concussion it was the 2nd quarter and very early in the quarter at that. Smith was 7/8 72 yds and a touchdown. The defense allowed two long back to back drives for touchdowns to start that game which is very out of character for them.
I do know this. Kaepernick came into that game the 2nd quarter, played most of it, and the next three quarters as well as five quarters today and struggled mightily versus the Rams. I understand everybody saying he was thrust in the last time against them but what was the excuse for him and his play today?
The reason I believe we would have won versus the Rams last time and today is Smith was 7/8 dinking and dunking down the field to score. The way the Rams defend is by sitting their corners 10-12 yards off the guy. Here's the difference between the two QBs, Kaep gets the play in the huddle and it's designed to go deep or have an option for a big gain, that's what he is going to look for first and second and that gives Long and the guys time to get you out the pocket and frustrated. Smith gets those same plays in the huddle and if the play is there he may take it but he takes what the defense gives him. Smith would have had 22 or 23 completions on 28 attempts with most of them being slants, comebacks, quick ins, quick outs, with the occasional mid to long play. All game they backed off the receivers yet Kaep chose not to check off to the "boring" play consistently. Moss, Crabtree and Manningham all should have had at least seven catches apiece for at least 75 yards.
I don't blame Kaep completely for it because that's who he is and in what is essentially his rookie season on the field he doesn't know how to make veteran smart decisions yet so the coaches have to bring him along very quickly since they chose to hand the reigns over to him.
