Ye reminds me of Dr Dre...he is in the same league, only Dre has had more commercial success and is less engaged in the writing process, Ye at least bounces ideas with his many writers, although lyrically even with writers i have heard many trash verses from Ye, and Dre seems to get the best writers. i.e Jay, DOC, Em etc.....

I dont really take Dre serious as a rapper, but i take him serious as a good song maker, same way i do Kanye, although with Dre the BAR is held way higher due to the classics he has given us, Ye can be forgiven when he goes into a homos3xual direction, it's hit or miss with him

Kanye has writers, but he ALWAYS Produced his own sh*t. CD was him Dolo. The only example of him taking credit for someone else's beat was Down and out On Purple Haze.

Jon Brion playing instruments and kanye later adding that to already made beats was essentially what Late registration was. But n*ggaz wanna call that ghost producing

they shine in different areas so it's not even far-fetched like the bx heads will make it out to be.

kanye's actually innovative musically and not scared to expand his horizons with the possibility of losing his previous fan base built from the start of his career(aka most of BX), there's a reason why all his albums are influential and essential to his career while pac built on the same idea structure wise (hence his first 2 albums being forgotten about compared to the 3 after it). kanye's vision and execution is the best in hip hop, only outkast rivals it.

as a pure emcee pac wins obviously. had better presence and delivery + wider reach in substance. they are about the same tier technically, they get outshined by most their peers in that area.

If Kanye better than Pac then that makes him the GOAT above every rapper to ever do it

Even though he doesnt write his own sh*t, takes credit for other producers beats and apologizes to George Bush

Pac on his worst day >>Kanye on his best day

Kanye just aint in the elite level, he sits below because his skill set just aint fu*kin with Pac, Jay, BIG, Nas and even Em

As a producer though he sh*ts on them, but thats where the comparisons stop

Common >>Kanye

T.I>Kanye
but u sh*t on jay every chance u get

His first two albums did well given the era and time, as far as to say were groundbreaking enough to grab the Presidents and Vice Presidents attention

People however prefer the slower flow Pac...sameway people prefer the slower flow Jay

Some people may argue the first two albums are better than all Pacs other work, because he was flowing better, only thing you could argue is the production wasnt on par with what came from Thuglife Vol 1 and onwards, but thats because we just came out of the 80's and a new sound was about to drop, thanks to Dre.

Lyrically Pacs first two albums are just as good as anything else, he however boxed himself in to a militant rapper and was going over peoples heads as far as reaching a mainstream audience

thats not true though

at all

they really are, S4MN and 2PN just don't hold up with the rest of his catalog that's not a slight though, every legendary rapper has forgettable albums regardless if they are bad or not. i only single out kanye and outkast being the exceptions of that because they try something new with each album.

Pac doesn't deserve to be mentioned with the greats when he rhymes like this:

Ever since you was a pee-wee, down by my knee with a wee-wee
We been coochie-coo all through school, you and me G

The difference between Pac and 'Ye is that Yeezy embraced his childhood, while Pac tried to be something he was not. As soon as Pac started rapping he convinced himself and the world that he was this rebellious thug, when in actuality he was charming ballerina, who went to the world renowned Baltimore School for the Arts. It's a shame he had to result to fake beefs and adopting a false image just to boost up his record sales, because had he just been true to himself maybe he and the INNOCENT Big would've still been alive 'til this day.
fu*k you talkin about f*gget. u posted the same sh*t in two threads, its a line from a song in '92 and he actually k!lled that song neways peep the last verse lol.

Pac aint embrace his childhood? n*gga hes the one that told us he went to Baltimore school of arts (n eventually dropped out), he the one that told us he aint deal drugs but kicked it wit dealers, he told us what was good thats how we know bout it u dumb f*ck. u act like Pac was coastin along wit his legacy and outta nowhere n*ggas dug up that he did ballet. lol n*gga u stupid this been known, Pac said it himself he embraced his childhood more then anyone, its all he talked bout in interviews.

n lol at Pac bein charmin, unlike Ye, Jay, Nas, Em, etc. he actually on record got shot n went to court for shootin two off duty cops, beatin up the Hughes bros and was caught on camera swingin on a crip n eventually died for this rap sh*t n what he stood for. get ya hawiian sophee fame a.ss outta here boy

i've honestly never heard an argument for his first 2 albums being better or being on the same level as MATW, AEOM or 7DT (which are all classics imo).

production is essential towards an album's quality. i'm not saying he was a worse emcee, just overall the quality of his albums went up after 95 and the consensus of that is pretty apparent.

seeing as warren's career took a downward spiral after the g-funk era while kanye kept reinventing himself already disproves that claim. kanye's not the best emcee but his focus in the genre isn't to be that, he's constantly setting trends because for a long time he was the only rapper trying new sh*t (he's been stagnant since WTT).
